Some guests found this motel serviceable for a short budget-friendly stay in downtown Moose Jaw.
It offered a cheaper room in a convenient location, in walking distance to restaurants, the mineral spa, the tunnels, a nearby park and other amenities.
It had free parking with some drive-up rooms, handy for keeping an eye on your car and for loading and unloading luggage.
And although the motel was quite dated, some guests felt it provided a clean place to sleep with a good shower.
Staff were often described as friendly.
Guests were somewhat divided in opinion about the hotel.more
Several guests, who gave the lowest scores, were upset to be given a room that stank of smoke when they had booked a non-smoking room.
Some felt it wasn't the cleanest. Recent complaints along this theme were: thick layer of dust in room, towels stained and dirty, carpet looked dark, carpet was stained, there were hairs on the covering sheet of the bed, room smelled heavily of body odour, toilet bathtub and mirror were not cleaned well, mildew smell, floor was extremely dirty, and stained upholstery.
Some did not find it that comfortable and recent complaints were: furniture, carpets and bedding worn, AC units noisy and not working and rooms were very warm, mosquitos got into room from a space under the door and bit guests while sleeping, parking spaces were tight, not much room for trucks, you can hear the TV or loud talking in the next room, and problems with electrical--couldn't use the AC and TV at the same time.
Although some guests seemed satisfied with the basic free breakfast offered, others felt it needed more variety and freshness and did not like partaking of it in the hotel's small office area.
Many seemed to have trouble getting the Wi-Fi to work.
In October and December 2014 there was some mention of bed bug bites and seeing bed bugs, but it does not appear to be an ongoing problem.
