The GoodThe majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive with praise going to the hotel's value, location, and staff.
The hotel's value was praised by numerous guests. These reviewers found the rates to be reasonable, and appreciated the free coffee and juice available in the lobby. One guest remarked, "It was a really good deal for the price we paid", while another stated the hotel was, "very good for the money they charge".
Many lodgers were pleased with the hotel's location. They described it as close to the highway, Old Quebec, and Montmorency Waterfall, as well as near a bus stop that connected travellers to the downtown area and within walking distance to several restaurants. It should be noted however, that some guests recommended this hotel only to those with a vehicle.
The staff were a source of several compliments by reviewers of this hotel. They were characterized as friendly, helpful and courteous, with excellent customer service. It should be mentioned however, that a couple of English-speaking guests found the front desk staff to have thick French accents that they couldn't always understand.
The Bad
While many of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a couple of common complaints among them, which included the rooms and the lack of elevator.
Although many guests described their rooms as clean, spacious and well-equipped, there were some reviewers who were disappointed with certain aspects of their room. These reviewers reported that the grout in the bathrooms was mouldy and needed to be redone, there were cigarette odours in a non-smoking room, and that the decor needed to be updated.
A couple of lodgers complained that the hotel had no elevator. They described having to walk long distances to their rooms, as well as having to carry heavy luggage up the stairs which they found to be an inconvenience.
