Numerous lodgers praised the hotel's location. They found it to be central, "a short walk from all the sights", as well as close to Chateau Frontenac, bistros, shopping, and highway access.
The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers. They were characterized as helpful, attentive, bilingual and knowledgeable.
Several guests were pleased with the hotel's value, and described the rates as reasonable and fair. One reviewer remarked the hotel "is one of the cheaper options and presents great value for money", while another stated it was "recommended for the budget minded traveller".
The Bad
While the majority of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about the lack of elevator, the rooms and noise transfer.
Some guests commented on the hotel's lack of elevator. They reported climbing several sets of stairs, especially when located on the 5th floor. The stairs were also described as narrow and steep, and these reviewers recommended a different hotel for those travellers with mobility issues.
Although the majority of reviewers described their rooms as clean and comfortable, some were disappointed with the size of their rooms and felt they were too small. It was also mentioned that some of the rooms had old furniture, worn decor and stained carpets.
