Pamela from Calgary, AB CA stayed on April 17, 2006
"The public areas in this hotel are very nice. The lobby is beautiful and the restaurant is very nice with good food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is close to a lot of restaurants and tourist attractions.
The hotel is a suite hotel with a tiny kitchen area in the rooms. This was a very convenient feature, however, the carpet in front of the kitchenette was very stained which gave the whole suite a feeling of not being quite clean. We had to change rooms because of a faulty thermostat in our first room, and the carpet was stained in the same place both rooms that we saw. It would make sense for the hotel to tile the area in front of the stove and sink. As well, some of the furniture looked worn and in our second room we had a fabric couch (as opposed to a leather one) that wasn't very clean. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, and it wasn't filthy, but the room could have been much "fresher"."

"Enjoyed the sauna. The rooms have a great little kitchenette for preparing your own in-room hors-d'oeuvres and cocktails. The clip clop of the caleches in the narrow street below our window added to the atmosphere. The room and bathroom are very spacious.
Two inmprovements to recommend: in-room stereo system and better newspapers (they delivered the National Post - we would have preferred the Globe and Mail). Highly recommend staying here in terms of value for money."

"This is a top of the line hotel in all respects. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Just as we were leaving Tom Hanks was checking in and I am sure we received the exact same treatment he will be receiving during his stay. Well done to the entire staff and we will see you in the new year."
