Many guests were pleased with the hotel's central location. They described it as within walking distance to the Latin Quarter, Saint-Catherine Street, Old Montreal, Place-des-Arts Metro station and a supermarket.
Several lodgers were pleased with the hotel's value. These guests said the hotel offered reasonable rates and described it as well priced.
The hotel's staff were the source of several compliments by reviewers. They were characterized as courteous and considerate, and it was reported the front desk staff were on duty 24-hours a day.
The Bad
While several of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were some common complaints about the rooms and noise transfer.
Although most reviewers found their rooms to be clean and well maintained, several guests had complaints about the accommodations. Due to the windows only opening a few inches and the lack of air-conditioning in the rooms, some reviewers found the rooms to be uncomfortably hot in the summer months. These guests also described the rooms as small, with no dishes for the kitchenettes (as advertised), and as having very small bathroom sinks.
Noise disturbances were mentioned by a couple of guests during their stay and reported being able to hear guests above them in the early morning hours. It should be mentioned however, that most reviewers found their rooms to be quiet.
