The Comfort Hotel and Suites is located in downtown Montreal, near the Latin Quarter, and is popular with budget-conscious travellers looking to explore the city's downtown neighbourhoods on foot. 

There are 143 rooms in this 7-floor property. Guests can enjoy the free Wi-Fi anywhere in the hotel, as well as a free continental breakfast which includes waffles and croissants. All guest rooms feature 1 or 2 double or queen beds, or 1 king bed, and come equipped with a flat-screen TV, a work desk, a coffeemaker and an iron and ironing board. Some rooms include free weekday newspapers, microwaves and refrigerators. 

The hotel features an elevator, a small fitness centre and business services such as a photocopy and fax machine for guests to use. Parking is available on site for $20 per day plus tax. Pets are not permitted.

The hotel is a 4-minute walk from Berri-UQAM metro station, which is the centre for 3 of Montreal’s 4 metro lines, as well as the Greyhound bus station, and a stop for the 747 airport shuttle bus, which takes travellers to Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport for $10. The train station is 4 metro stops from the hotel, at Bonaventure station.

Many of Montreal's popular neighbourhoods, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and other attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. Chinatown and Old Montreal are about a 20-minute walk from the hotel or 12 minutes by Metro including the walk to the station. The Good
Overall, the hotel received some positive feedback in the reviews used for this analysis.

The most common positive comments referred to the hotel's location very close to a major metro station the 747 bus to the airport and within walking distance of many restaurants, attractions and services. 

There were also many comments that the hotel staff were friendly and helpful (although several that stated the opposite), and some guests found their rooms and beds to be clean and comfortable.

Additionally guests enjoyed the free breakfast which they said included waffles and croissants, along with other items.
The Bad
Although there were some positive comments in the reviews used, there were many negative ones as well, particularly regarding the hotel's rooms and neighbourhood.

There were many comments in the reviews that the hotel rooms were old and in poor shape. Some reviewers found the carpets stained and the lighting dim in the bathroom. Also there was some mention of cramped bathrooms and fixtures that needed repair or replacement.

Guests complained of poor customer service and long wait times at check in.

There were also some comments that the immediate area was a bit unsavoury and that there was some homelessness in the neighbourhood. Some reviewers thought the hotel was a good choice for budget-conscious travellers, while others thought it was not the best value for money.
