Overview
This downtown Montreal is ideally located for exploring the city on foot or by Metro, a 5-minute walk from Lucien L'Allier metro station and 2 minutes from St Catherine Street, a popular shopping and dining locale.

All rooms are smoke free and offer free basic Wi-Fi, cable TV, pay movies, a coffeemaker, a mini-bar, a desk with ergonomic chair, a laptop-size safe, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, windows that open and climate control. Room are furnished with 2 double beds or 1 king bed. Room extras include a sofabed, bathrobes, free local calls, an espresso machine and a 42" flat screen TV.

Underground parking is available for $28 per day with in-and-out privileges. Pets are welcome for $25 per day. Hi-speed Wi-Fi costs $9.95 for 24 hours. Local calls are $1.

On-site dining is available at L‘Ô, open from 6 am to midnight, offering a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. The Bar offers lounge dining and summer terrace. Room service is available from 6 am to 10 pm.

Hotel amenities include a fitness centre, a business centre, concierge service, elevators and meeting rooms.

The hotel is about an 11-minute walk from the VIA Rail train station and a 1-minute walk from the 747 bus stop that takes guests to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in 40 minutes for a cost of $10, an otherwise 20-minute drive, depending on traffic conditions. 

The hotel is a 4-minute walk to the Bell Centre (sports and concert venue) and about 8 minutes' walk to the city's underground shopping network. The property is also one street over from Crescent Street, which boasts numerous restaurants, bars, nightclubs and outdoor terraces. 
Concordia University is a 9-minute walk, and McGill University is a 14-minute walk. (All travel times: Google Maps).

The Good
Overall, the hotel received ample praise for its appearance and atmosphere, attentive staff and central location.

Guests typically enjoyed good sleeps in their spacious rooms. They were often described as clean, with upscale design, enjoyable showers and comfy beds.

The location was a definite highlight. Guests found it convenient to Metro, the Bell Centre, St. Catherine Street, Mount Royal, Dunn's on Rue Metcalfe for Montreal smoked meat, the train station, the airport and McGill University.

The staff were very well liked overall. They were helpful, kind, knowledgeable and provided quick check-in service.

Guests who spoke of the lounge or restaurant invariably enjoyed it. One recent guest wrote, "Great bar for a night cap and great buffet breakfast in the morning!" And another said, "Wonderful restaurant with fresh healthy meals."

Adding value to the stay for some was the well-equipped fitness centre.

Many seemed to feel that the hotel offered very good value.

The Bad
Weaknesses at this hotel surrounded the Wi-Fi service for the most part, which guests gave low scores to, whether paid or free, although individual reviewers sometimes commented positively on the Wi-Fi.

Occasionally guests missed having a pool or were disappointed that there was no free breakfast at the hotel.

A couple of guests missed having drawers for clothes storage in the rooms.

Occasionally a guest judged his room to be a little tired looking.
