The Good
This hotel was highly appreciated overall for its spacious and well furnished rooms, its non-corporate feel and its amazing location.

Guests typically found the rooms to be elegantly decorated, very clean, spacious and comfortable. They liked the plush bedding, jacuzzi tubs, and gorgeous marble bathrooms. Guests with children loved having extra bathrooms and space to accommodate them.

The location was described as ideal for sightseeing and shopping, with high-end stores like Ogilvy's and Holt Renfrew on St. Catherine Street, just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. Others liked being in walking distance from Mont Royal and Bell Centre. There were restaurants galore in the immediate area.

Guests often enjoyed the dining on site (under separate management) and although some found it expensive, guests usually described it as very good, amazing or excellent.

The staff were well liked, especially in the more recent reviews. They were described as attentive, friendly, going out of their way and providing personal attention to guests.

The Bad
Some guests offered their critique of the hotel and a few themes surfaced in the reviews.

Guests sometimes had noise disturbances. They cited construction affecting street side rooms, honking cars, snow removal trucks, hallway noise, neighbouring rooms, and from suites with adjoining doors to neighbouring suites.

Some guests found dining on site expensive. This was repeated by guests who dined in the restaurant and those who ordered room service. Some also found room service breakfast options limited and dining options for children limited.

Occasionally guests complained that there were no windows in the main room or only one window opened in the entire suite, from the bedroom.

A few guests who had suites with kitchens found that they were not already stocked with dishes or cutlery.

Some found the gym a little small with older equipment, but were pleased the hotel provided water and towels.
