The Good
This hotel was well liked by online reviewers who found it comfortable and well located for exploring Old Montreal.

The suites were very well liked, comfortable and stylishly furnished, clean and spacious. Guests enjoyed the rich wood tones, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, fireplaces, kitchenettes and balconies in their suites.

The staff were friendly and accommodating with very helpful concierge staff who provided dinner reservations, information about the area and activities. One recent guest wrote, "I can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who were particularly patient and kind to my elderly father."

Guests enjoyed delicious meals at the restaurant and the patio proved to be a great place to unwind with a drink. In-room dining was excellent as well.

The location was ideal. Guests liked having restaurants, boutiques, attractions and the Old Port in walking distance. And for farther explorations there were bixi bike stations nearby as well as the Metro station.

The Bad
There were not a lot of complaints found online in recent reviews read, but the hotel did occasionally fail to fully satisfy all of their guests.

A few guests felt the parking was expensive, but some mentioned that the staff were helpful in locating cheaper parking options for guests. There were several reviewers that thought the rooms were overpriced or expensive.

Occasionally guests found the street side a little noisy and there was the odd complaint of noise from within the hotel, from music at a wedding celebration, to the ice machine, to guests in the hallway.

There were a few room complaints. Some guests said the rooms were needing a refresh. Some did not like glass doors or walls in the suites which transferred light and reduced privacy. Several complained that the lighting was too dim at night and the rooms needed more lighting options. A few complained about the Murphy or pull-down beds which some found uncomfortable, not luxury and some scraped themselves on the edges.

The restaurant is under separate management and there were several complaints. Slow service, sub-par breakfast, pricey breakfast, poor service and food quality in the restaurant and poor quality room service were some recent complaints.
