The Good
Guests really enjoyed their stay at the hotel and the reviews conveyed a sense of excitement and happiness.

The rooms were well enjoyed. Guests described them as spotlessly clean, completely renovated and modern, stylishly decorated, and spacious with comfortable beds and nice rain showers. Some also enjoyed fast Wi-Fi, Nespresso machines, the exposed brick walls, and large shuttered windows that opened.

Guests loved the staff. They were described as very helpful, extremely friendly and so accommodating. One guest stated, "The manager could not do enough to assist us." He was reported as assisting with luggage, airport transfer and offered advice about the area, jazz and blues clubs and restaurants.

Guests liked the location. It offered easy access to Metro and the bus station, was in walking distance of Old Montreal and had plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from. One recent guest remarked, "Nice hotel in the heart of a trendy street with great little restaurants, cozy bars and tons of night life."

The hotel has a well-liked restaurant on site which guests used to have breakfast or to sample some of their pastries.

The Bad
There were very few concerns or complaints found for this hotel overall.

Occasionally guests mentioned that the hotel did not have an elevator and there were stairs to climb to access the rooms on the second or third floor, but one guest mentioned that the stairs were easy due to a comfortable spiral staircase with an old heavy banister. (The front door is also accessed by stairs.)

Others mentioned hearing street noise from rooms that faced the front of the hotel, but mostly on Friday and Saturday nights, and some said it was not disruptive and the in-room wooden shutters could be employed to shut out the sound.

Some reviewers also mentioned that the hotel's front desk is not staffed 24 hours per day, so if guests are arriving during the night or early morning hours, it may be best to contact the hotel to make arrangements.
