Guest Recommendations

"Excellent location! The furnishings are old and the carpet should probably be replaced but everything was clean."
Anonymous guest from St. Albert, AB CA stayed on September 21, 2005

"Room had a coffee maker but had to pay extra for the coffee, room was old and grimy. Housekeeping didn't even come one day, I certainly wouldn't walk in the room without shoes! Was in the City attending a an event and several other attendees changed to other hotels. When I called to confirm my reservation they couldn't find it - I wish it had stayed lost. The staff were pleasant, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel."
Gary from Salem, NH US stayed on August 25, 2005

"I stayed at another hotel on the same trip which was more than double the cost and La Tour Centre Ville was just as good if not a bit more comfortable."
Brian from Etobicoke, ON CA stayed on August 16, 2005

"Bottled water should be available in vending machines. Air conditioner needs to be repaired. We managed to get it working. Lamp shades are tilting; broken fixtures. Internet access/connections in rooms would be appreciated. Internet access in lobby too difficult to operate."
Jevon from Scarborough, ON CA stayed on July 17, 2005

"An additional feature for the hotel should be a continental breakfast"
Mary from Northville, MI US stayed on April 15, 2005

"Wonderful service - would recommend to all my friends."
Husam from Thornhill, ON CA stayed on January 19, 2005

"The toilets weren't in the best condition. We could smell toilet odors before we even used the toilet. Other then that we enjoyed our stay."
Jennifer from Toronto, ON CA stayed on October 03, 2004

"If you've been to Montreal before and don't need a swanky place to stay, then stay here. It's located at the corner of Rene Levesque and Rue Bleury, right downtown & only a few blocks east of Gare Centrale, the main train station. The building's been there for about 30 years, and pretty much looks like it. They have little kitchenettes, complete with most of the stuff you'll need for meal making. Beware the very dull butter knifes, though. Bathrooms and kitchenettes have been recently updated. For $100 a night, you can't go too wrong."
Ruth from New Westminster, BC CA stayed on August 12, 2004

"This a great place for a family with all the basic amenities and great location for sightseeing, walking and shopping. It's great to be able to prepare your own meal with a proper kitchen when you get tired of eating out or are watching your budget."
Anonymous guest from Coldwater, ON CA stayed on July 29, 2004

"the hotel was very grimey for $100. the T.V. was hooked up to an extension cord across the room, the T.V. didn't work. The "electrical guy" fixed it by putting it in a different plug in the extension cord. The service was horrible, the attendents were rude and no help at all when we asked what was going on to do, she said theres nothing happening on a Wednsday. The girl at Hard Rock cafe was more help."
Anonymous guest from Scarborough, ON CA stayed on July 21, 2004

"The start of the stay was a rough one. Once checked in and advised which room to go to, immediately after entering the room we notice that the air condition was not working. Room was dim, carpet was stained and the air was stuffy. It was nearly 30 C ( 90 F )degrees in the room. We called the front desk and they told us they would send someone right away to check the AC. We waited 15 to 20 and no one showed up so we called again. They basically told us the same thing again. We waited another 20 minutes and just decided to go to the front desk and ask for a differnet room. We changed rooms and things turned around. AC worked the room was not all stained up. I'd have to say the location we great to where we needed to go the next morning. I'd have to rate this hotel 3 out of 10. I've stayed in Motels ( Days Inn and Motel 8's that where much nicer )"
Serge from Ottawa, ON CA stayed on July 18, 2004

"Room was very clean. Having a Fridge in the room was great. Perfect for storing your left over pizza. Close to just about everything. Decent walking distance from subway station Short walk to downtown. I highly recommend unless you're looking for something real fancy."
Anonymous guest from Victor, NY US stayed on July 18, 2004

"air conditioner leaked all over the rug the first day. The staff never got around to fixing for the 3 days we were there. It just got worse and worse until the carpet was soaked. Room was musty smelling."
Robert from Chicago, IL US stayed on June 28, 2004

"all units with kitchens, supermarket two blocks away"
Shannon from Newmarket, ON CA stayed on February 15, 2004

"We did encounter a few problems upon arriving at the hotel on Friday. I had booked a queen sized studio suite, and was disappointed to be place in a room with a double bed. The staff had to move us two more times before realizing that no room in the hotel has anything bigger than a double bed. They did do their best to please us, and put us in the large suite. It was slightly frustrating, but we worked it all out. The room was large and clean, and the hotel was very nice.. very close to downtown."
Edward from Arlington, MA US stayed on February 15, 2004

"The hotel was right in the middle of Montreal and it couldn't have been any easier to go to all parts of Montreal in a timely fashion."
Judy from Chelsea, ON CA stayed on February 01, 2004

"We were especially impressed by friendly service. If I were to suggest an improvement -- I'd suggest the bathroom fans be separately switched or vastly quieter. They were the one real annoyance. Judy Lord"
Christian from Markham, ON CA stayed on January 25, 2004

"The hotel should clearly advertise that parking is not included an is extra. The manager at the hotel was pretty rude when discussing the parking situation with me. The next time that I'm in Montreal I'll probably choose a different hotel."
Monica from Vancouver, BC CA stayed on December 12, 2003

"Perfect location, just across U.S. Consulate, 2 blocks from St.Catherine Bldv. Very clean hotel, friendly staff members, good and healthy breakfast . I will recommend this hotel to anyone who's going for a short trip in Montreal."
Martha from Peacham, VT US stayed on November 28, 2003

"Some equipment in work out room didn't work and the pool was freezing cold. Sauna was nice, a hot tub would be great. Great location, quiet night, great little kitchen with all the amenitites. We stay here often. The staff is awesome."
Scott from North Waterboro, ME US stayed on October 26, 2003

"Huge room for a great price! Will go there again."
Tammy from Colchester, VT US stayed on October 26, 2003

"The price was reasonable. The reason I chose the hotel was for the indoor pool since I have a child, but the pool was freezing so it was unpleasant. The toilet seat in the bathroom of our room was broken also. These little things should be taken care of, in my opinion. I would have enjoyed the stay much more."
Anonymous guest from Gloucester, MA US stayed on October 25, 2003

"I'd recommend this hotel to someone who needs a hotel in the central city that isn't too expensive. One of the rooms I stayed in (I stayed in two different rooms) had a very wet carpet that did not dry overnight, and the bathroom faucet would not turn off completely, so water ran constantly."
Justin from Victoria, BC CA stayed on October 25, 2003

"Ideal location, huge and spacious rooms, more like apartments than hotel rooms, I was very impressed and would definitely stay again."
