"Excellent location! The furnishings are old and the carpet should probably be replaced but everything was clean."

"Room had a coffee maker but had to pay extra for the coffee, room was old and grimy. Housekeeping didn't even come one day, I certainly wouldn't walk in the room without shoes! Was in the City attending a an event and several other attendees changed to other hotels. When I called to confirm my reservation they couldn't find it - I wish it had stayed lost. The staff were pleasant, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel."

"Bottled water should be available in vending machines. Air conditioner needs to be repaired. We managed to get it working. Lamp shades are tilting; broken fixtures. Internet access/connections in rooms would be appreciated. Internet access in lobby too difficult to operate."

"If you've been to Montreal before and don't need a swanky place to stay, then stay here. It's located at the corner of Rene Levesque and Rue Bleury, right downtown & only a few blocks east of Gare Centrale, the main train station. The building's been there for about 30 years, and pretty much looks like it. They have little kitchenettes, complete with most of the stuff you'll need for meal making. Beware the very dull butter knifes, though. Bathrooms and kitchenettes have been recently updated. For $100 a night, you can't go too wrong."

"This a great place for a family with all the basic amenities and great location for sightseeing, walking and shopping. It's great to be able to prepare your own meal with a proper kitchen when you get tired of eating out or are watching your budget."

"the hotel was very grimey for $100. the T.V. was hooked up to an extension cord across the room, the T.V. didn't work. The "electrical guy" fixed it by putting it in a different plug in the extension cord. The service was horrible, the attendents were rude and no help at all when we asked what was going on to do, she said theres nothing happening on a Wednsday. The girl at Hard Rock cafe was more help."

"The start of the stay was a rough one. Once checked in and advised which room to go to, immediately after entering the room we notice that the air condition was not working. Room was dim, carpet was stained and the air was stuffy. It was nearly 30 C ( 90 F )degrees in the room. We called the front desk and they told us they would send someone right away to check the AC. We waited 15 to 20 and no one showed up so we called again. They basically told us the same thing again. We waited another 20 minutes and just decided to go to the front desk and ask for a differnet room. We changed rooms and things turned around. AC worked the room was not all stained up. I'd have to say the location we great to where we needed to go the next morning. I'd have to rate this hotel 3 out of 10. I've stayed in Motels ( Days Inn and Motel 8's that where much nicer )"

"We did encounter a few problems upon arriving at the hotel on Friday. I had booked a queen sized studio suite, and was disappointed to be place in a room with a double bed. The staff had to move us two more times before realizing that no room in the hotel has anything bigger than a double bed. They did do their best to please us, and put us in the large suite. It was slightly frustrating, but we worked it all out. The room was large and clean, and the hotel was very nice.. very close to downtown."

"We were especially impressed by friendly service.
If I were to suggest an improvement -- I'd suggest the bathroom fans be separately switched or vastly quieter. They were the one real annoyance.

"The hotel should clearly advertise that parking is not included an is extra. The manager at the hotel was pretty rude when discussing the parking situation with me. The next time that I'm in Montreal I'll probably choose a different hotel."

"The price was reasonable. The reason I chose the hotel was for the indoor pool since I have a child, but the pool was freezing so it was unpleasant. The toilet seat in the bathroom of our room was broken also. These little things should be taken care of, in my opinion. I would have enjoyed the stay much more."

"I'd recommend this hotel to someone who needs a hotel in the central city that isn't too expensive. One of the rooms I stayed in (I stayed in two different rooms) had a very wet carpet that did not dry overnight, and the bathroom faucet would not turn off completely, so water ran constantly."
