Located one block from St Catherine's Street and about a 6-minute walk from Montreal College, La Tour Belvedere may appeal to travellers who require an apartment-style hotel with an indoor poor and extended kitchen amenities.

This hotel has 150 air-conditioned units, each offering cable TV, a kitchen, a desk, a sitting area with a sofabed, a balcony, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Standard rooms offer one queen bed, while rooms with a separate queen bedroom are also available. 

Hotel amenities include in indoor pool, a fitness centre, a business centre, and laundry facilities. Parking is available off site (1 block away), Wi-Fi is $5.85/day, pets are not allowed, and wheelchair accessibility is available.

Several restaurants are located nearby, including Bulgogi House Restaurant and Cacao 70, which can both be found within a 3-minute walk of the hotel. The nearest shopping centre is Place Alexi-Nihon, which is a 3-minute walk south.

Many reviewers were pleased with the hotel's location. They found it to be close to the Metro, St Catherine Street's restaurants and shopping, the Museum of Modern Art, McGill and Concordia universities, a supermarket and downtown Montreal.

The hotel was found to provide good value by several lodgers. The room rates were described as reasonable. It should be mentioned however, that a few guests were disappointed that Wi-Fi was not included in the price (it is $5.85/day).

The hotel's staff were a source of numerous compliments. They were described as efficient, accommodating, prompt, and helpful in offering good directions.

While the majority of reviewers found their rooms to be clean, well-equipped and spacious, several guests felt the rooms and hotel in general were in need of an upgrade. They reported old and worn carpets and decor, as well old bathrooms.

Some guests complained about the hotel's elevators. They were described as old and slow, and was said to be difficult to get one as there are only 2 elevators that service 21 floors.

Noise disruptions were reported by a few lodgers. They described disturbances from street noise, partying guests in adjacent rooms, as well as a noisy oven fan.
