The Good
The hotel was highly praised in the reviews consulted for this analysis for its staff service, amenities, and overall guest experience.

The words classy, luxurious, immaculate, and impeccable, were used several times in the reviews to describe the hotel. Many guest reviewers found the hotel's rooms, library, and restaurant "gorgeous".

The staff received many positive reviews as well. One reviewer wrote that the staff “deserve a medal for all of their attention". Another guest wrote that he has “been in many 5 star hotels and unfortunately very often the staff is arrogant, phony and conceded, not so here. Every staff member was friendly, professional, and real."

Some guest reviewers felt that the hotel was well worth the expense. One reviewer wrote that, “if you can afford'll feel a bit of the life of the 'rich and famous' ".

The Bad
Overall, there were very few negative comments about the hotel in the reviews used for this analysis.

A few reviewers found their rooms were a little too dark. And a few others felt that the hotel's valet parking, at $40/day was expensive, as was the $20/day cost for wireless Internet in the rooms. Although one guest reviewer pointed out, "if you're looking at the prices alone, you should not be staying at this hotel."

9 out of 10 | Martin stayed March 05, 2004

"Though I'm just an "average Joe" ... I was made to feel very above average. Everyone knew my name. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Most of all, I didn't feel exploited ... being a foreigner ... as I have in other "fine" hotels in other countries. I was dissapointed that I did not get to utilize the spa and massage facilities during my stay. It looked to be top notch."
