Many reviewers enjoyed the clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds and bedding. The hotel's appearance was frequently described as spotless and welcoming.
There were numerous comments that the staff were polite, professional and helpful. The free hot and cold breakfast buffet was praised for its quality and selection, and though the hotel does not have a restaurant, many guests enjoyed the bar and said that the staff were helpful in providing them with delivery menus and suggestions.
Business travellers in particular found the hotel well located for meetings in either the west end or downtown core of the city and said they were repeat guests for this reason.
Many reviewers commented that, overall, the hotel exceeded their expectations and was excellent value for money.
The Bad
There were some minor criticisms of the hotel in the reviews used, although they were overshadowed by the praise and mostly focused on the hotel's location.
Some reviewers found the immediate area to be lacking in restaurant options. A few reviewers cautioned guests without cars that there were very few restaurants or services within walking distance. As well, there were a few comments from guests who had driven to the hotel and said that it was a bit hard to find.
Some reviewers remarked that the hotel was not especially close to the airport (about 12 km), and there were a few accounts of the shuttle ride taking from 15-25 minutes. As well, a few reviewers mentioned that they needed to call the hotel from the airport in order to request shuttle pick-up.
