The Good
Overall, the hotel received ample praise from the reviews used in this analysis, particularly for its renovated, spacious rooms, and attentive staff.

The hotel recently renovated all of its rooms and many guest reviewers seemed more than pleased with the results. Rooms were described many times as "beautiful" and "modern".

Several guest reviewers enjoyed views of the city from their windows and balconies, with some suggesting potential guests request a room with a balony and view.

Many guests also noted that they were impressed by the higher-end Philosophy brand beauty products in the bathrooms. Others mentioned appreciating the laptop hook-ups for the flat-screen TVs, Ipod docks, and the speed of the free wireless Internet connection in their rooms.

There were also many comments about the hotel's overall appearance, with many reviews noting that the lobby, front desk and fitness centre were all attractive and well-maintained.

There were numerous comments praising the staff, from housekeeping, to front desk, to management. One anecdotal comment from a guest illustrates the positive sentiment towards the staff, "Every worker at the hotel we walked by said hello and asked how our stay was." In addition, when this guest asked the concierge what restaurants were in the area, "he printed off a whole bunch of restaurants for us, it was great!"

There were also many comments from both business travelers praising the hotel's facilities and staff services, and from families. There were several comments from parents who appreciated the care shown to them and the toys the hotel provided to their children.

The Bad
Overall, negative comments about the hotel among the reviews used in this analysis were minimal.

Some guest reviewers found the hotel's on-site underground parking lot, at $26.50/day, expensive, and some reported that they opted to park in nearby lots for cheaper rates. A few reviewers who had used the hotel's parking lot found it to be small and difficult to navigate.

There were also a few reviews that stated the lighting in the room closets was poor. And though the bathrooms were praised many times for being spacious and attractive, a few reviews mentioned that the lighting was poor as well.

There were also a few comments that not all the rooms came with a mini-fridge, although they are available upon request for a delivery fee of $20.
