The Good
Many reviewers enjoyed their stays at this hotel. They found it clean, comfortable, affordable and near the Metro.

Many guests really liked the location for being so near to the Metro station, from where they could travel anywhere in Montreal, without the stress of driving, or locating and paying for a parking spot. Also this location was close to downtown by Metro or car without the more expensive downtown hotel prices.

Guests typically enjoyed their rooms, the comfortable pillowtop beds and pretty city views.

The well-priced buffet breakfast at the hotel ($12) added to the sense of value for guests, who found it satisfying with a good selection. And although the dinner choices were limited at the restaurant on site, some found the food good and the prices reasonable.

Guests also liked the  hotel's staff who were friendly, bilingual, and helpful in giving directions and recommendations.

And, important for car travellers, free parking added value for a hotel so close to downtown.

The Bad
Guests who were less enthusiastic about the hotel, usually complained along several themes.

Several guests complained of poor Wi-Fi, and this was a deal breaker for some business guests.

Occasionally guests with oversize vehicles and buses has difficulty finding parking in the lot, especially when the hotel was full, or there were conventions on site.

The hotel's restaurant had too few staff and slow service for dinner according to some guests, and occasionally a guest was disappointed that there was no room service offered.

A few guests felt the hotel was dated and could use some freshening up. Recent complaints along this theme were: elevator door edges chipped and peeling off, noisy HVAC, in-room phone not working, dirty walls by the elevator, room smelled of smoke, tub did not drain while showering, toilet made a loud noise when filling back up, hair dryer blew only cold air and poor TV reception.

A few guests mentioned that there were not many restaurants in the nearby vicinity that were open during the later evening hours.

Some other recent complaints were: no hair conditioner offered- only conditioning shampoo (which didn't condition well), no cartoon channels for kids, no in-room microwave or hair dryer, long wait at elevator, no free breakfast, noise from the street during rush hour, and the pool was too warm or too cold and too chlorinated.
