The hotel's location was a source of many compliments by lodgers. They found it to be close to the casino, the St. Lawrence River, skiing, hiking, whale watching, as well as several restaurants, fromageries and the city's centre. The hotel's grounds were also described as beautiful, peaceful and scenic.
Several guests were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean and luxuriously decorated, with comfortable beds and great views of the river. It should be noted however, that some guests reported their rooms to be small, and also felt the decor and carpets needed upgrading.
The hotel's food was also a source of compliments by several reviewers, who described it as exquisite, superb, well prepared and fresh. It should be mentioned however, that many guests found the restaurants' prices (especially the buffet breakfast and the wine) to be quite high.
The Bad

The hotel's parking was a source of complaint for some reviewers. They described it as poorly laid out and labelled, with free parking being located far from the main door. It was also reported by a couple of guests that the free parking ran out and they had no option but to pay $22 per night for valet parking.
Noise transfer was mentioned by a couple of lodgers, who reported being able to hear the elevators from their rooms as well as noise from parties within the hotel.
