Many reviewers praised the accommodations at this hotel. They described their rooms as clean and spacious, with warm decor, a strong Wi-Fi signal, and breathtaking views of the river and surrounding mountains. It should be noted however, that some guests found the lack of air conditioning in their rooms to be an inconvenience. (The hotel does provide a few rooms with air conditioning.)

The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by lodgers. They were characterized as professional, courteous and friendly. 

Several guests were pleased with the hotel's location. They found it to be close to restaurants, shopping, the St. Lawrence River, whale watching and the casino.

The restaurant's food was also praised by several reviewers, who described it as delicious, tasty and superb, with a unique presentation. It should be noted however, that a few guests found the prices in the restaurant to be too high.

Some guests complained of noise transfer during their stay. They reported being able to hear guests walking and talking overhead and in adjacent rooms, as well as plumbing noise and noisy bathroom fans. These guests recommended booking rooms on the top floor to avoid the overhead noise.

A few reviewers were disappointed the hotel does not provide an elevator. These guests described carrying their luggage up the stairs which they found to be an inconvenience, and also mentioned the staff did not offer to help.
