The Good
The overwhelming majority of reviews read for this analysis were positive, and guests were particularly pleased with the beautiful pool area and views, the cleanliness and the luxurious rooms of the hotel.

Staff delivered excellent service and went above and beyond to accommodate and to please. They were professional, efficient and gracious, according to the guests.

The rooms were loved by many of the reviewers, some who were repeat customers. Guests described the rooms as having stunning decor, spotlessly clean, with wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor windows offering spectacular views, comfortable beds, huge glass showers and large bathrooms with luxurious finishes.

Several guests felt that the pool area resembled a Caribbean resort. They also enjoyed swimming in the lake nearby and dining poolside.

There were some additional comments from guests who enjoyed the quality of the food and the service offered at a number of the on-site restaurants, and from guests who liked this hotel's proximity to Ottawa.

Guests were also pleased that there was lots of entertainment options and nightlife for guests of the hotel. One guest pointed out that there were even free bike rentals and direct access to bike trails.

The Bad
There were not a lot of complaints found for this hotel in the reviews sourced, but guests sometimes pointed out areas that were not that well covered or what one might call a weak spot or missed opportunity in the hotel's service.

Occasionally a guest thought this hotel was a little isolated from neighbourhood restaurants and shops and it was mentioned that public transportation to airport or downtown Ottawa was not convenient.

Guests who brought little children found that other than the pool, there was not much entertainment for them and sometimes dining options could be limited as the casino restaurants did not allow children under 18.

Some guests felt that the restaurant meals, although delicious, could at times be a little pricey.
