"ok stay"

"room was clean, parking was poor(scary office building for any lone person or group of women/girls to travel) as there was no security, payment for scary parking was inexcusable, breakfast was only ok, next time we will travel outside hotel to eat breaky despite the "freebie", great view(higher than 9th floor)"

"Completely opposite to the negative reviews posted."

"I was a little anxious to book into this hotel, due to the reviews I read, but was pleasantly surprised to experience none of the negative aspects of staying there. The room was clean, cool and spacious, and had more amenities than required, but was appreciated. Checking in and out was a breeze. Parking was convenient and with unlimited in and out privileges. The buffet had a nice variety, and well attended by staff and was spacious, considering there was a lot of guests. Overall, a very good choice."

"Our room was nicely decorated, and the bed was really comfortable. Our room had a view of the river and the Detroit skyline which was fantastic. Across the road a nicely landscaped waterfront park included many impressive monuments and war memorials. The staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. We were attending a concert at Windsor Casino and were within walking distance to both the venue and a nice restaurant."

"My stay was nearly perfect ..... except there is only a buffet breakfast available to guests. Full dining and room service should be made reestablished, otherwise this hotel will lose out to other local hotels offering in hotel dining. Women travelling alone do not want to have to leave the hotel to find a restaurant to eat."

"It was just ok. Not what I would expect of a Hilton. Strange shaped room and not worth the money."

"Welcoming, excellent customer service, good location & view"

"Staff and manager friendly and helpful. Location excellent, close to highways, airport plus view of Windsor & Detroit waterfront was great. Parking garage is an excellent service with guest key which allowed us to go in and out as we wished. As we attended a wedding it was numerous times. Appreciated the cleanliness of the room, high end sheets, soft towels and sufficent supply. Impressed the hotel is green with conservation of linens/towels. Overall would definitely stay at the Hilton Riverside in Windsor Ontario anytime. Would never consider staying at any other hotel in Windsor."

"We went to see at show at the casino and wanted to stay overnight. We needed a hotel that was close by. You can't go wrong with a Hilton in the States and it was equally true in Canada. Very clean, nice decor and comfy."

"In all Honesty, This Hilton does not give the rest of the Hilton's across North America a good name. I was extremely embarrassed to take my fiance to a hotel such as this one. I think its time they look into tearing down and rebuilding. If the hotel in the Windsor Casino wasn't all booked out, I would of stayed there instead. I'm sorry, but I don't mean to be disrespectful, but its the honest truth. I wish I could of gotten my money back."

"The hotel was nice...until check out. They ripped us off. the price was supposed to be $135.00 US...with the discount...but they said the discount didn't apply to us and we were charged $180.00 US. Both of those prices were without tax. I was very upset at this treatment and I will most likely not use this hotel or site again for travel arrangements."

"The Hotel was very close to the clubs and bars downtown which was convienent and was the reason we chose the hilton. The lobby of the hotel, the beds, and the view were the only nice things about the hotel. For a hilton i was disappointed with the decorating. It was very outdated. The parking is a big hassle as well. You have to park behind the hotel in a pay parking garage and then you have to haul all your suitcases through down the stairs (because the elevator didnt work) then through a run down office building just to get to the radisson lobby then u go farther and you finally reach the hilton. Overall i think it was a little expensive for such an outdated hilton, but i would stay there again because of the actual rooms and the amazing staff."

"Overall the stay was fine but I did find the hotel to be very under-staffed. I had several questions and was forced to wait 10 minutes at times to speak to someone. (the "guest services" line was never answered) The concierge was rarely around and didn't make an effort to go to the extra mile when I needed assitance getting to Detroit for the night. If you are familiar with the area and/or NOT looking to do anything other than stay in Windsor and walk everywhere, it would be a fine place to stay. (there is a shuttle to the casino) The rooms were very clean and the view was great. Morale of the story: Don't count on any help from the staff. Last thing - I was not told that the parking garage connects to the hotel through a walkway/mall in the back, I had to figure that out for myself."

"I wish there had been a more comfortable and quiet cocktail lounge. The only bar was crowded and noisy, and the service in it was terrible. But the bedroom was clean and proper. And checking in and out was fast and efficient. We were well treated in the restaurant. So no major complaints."
