"Friendly Staff"
"Very friendly and helpful service. We asked for a fridge and they delivered it to the room, no charge. The temperature was a problem in the room, it was freezing cold but with adjustment of the heater it warmed up but it took a long time and we ended up sleeping in our clothes to stay warm. We could have probably switched rooms but we were so tired, it was late and we just fell asleep."

"Location is the best for after the bars downtown"
"It's bad that I have to pay $10 for parking under threat of getting my car towed, that's just uncalled for after paying to stay in an old hotel. Otherwise everything was great and the staff very friendly and helpful, they even let me have a late checkout at noon instead of 11am when I asked the night before."

"Overall it was not the worst experience ever. We did get the river rooms we booked, good view. There were things that could have improved. The rooms needed air badly, the comforters were from the 1800's and gross! The beds were also from that era. It really needs an update. Parking was crazy tight but could pay 5$ for the parking lot that was beside but of course if anything happened to it they would not care. It was a short walk to the keg and the hotel did give us complimentary shrimp apps. If I was to do it again I would have paid the extra money to stay at caesars palace."

"Would recommend this hotel as it was clean & staff friendly."
"I found that hotel clean. The staff were very nice. Location was great. It had a small pool which we had to ourselves. Mostly I don't spend time at the hotel using the amenities so the only thing that was important to me was that the room was clean. As usual I found the beds a bit hard but find that in most hotels so guess I prefer beds on the softer side."

"hotel a little aged but kept up well. staff were great. parking not good you pay $10.00 and you're not guaranteed a parking spot we were able to find one but were told if we left that spot we couldn't guaranteed we would have it when we got back other than that the hotel was well worth the money. walking distance to many attractions."

"This is a great affordable hotel right downtown and within walking distance of numerous amenities.....just park at the hotel and walk everywhere! The river view is beautiful. We stay here every time we visit Windsor."

"Cheap, good location, but not that nice & very loud"
"Good location (downtown and steps away from Caesar's) and fairly cheap but not the nicest, limited amenities and seems to be a spot for partying teens to go - it was incredibly loud til all hours of the morning."

"Although we had a "non-smoking" room, you could still smell the smoke. The mattresses were totally uncomfortable and the air conditioner didn't work. Our buffet breakfast was cold and didn't include toast unless we wanted to pay extra. What breakfast buffet doesn't include toast??? The only good thing about the hotel was the location."

"Front desk reception clerk was not too pleasant. Rooms were a little tight but location (riverside) fronting Detroit was excellent and hotel was easy to find. We were charged $10Cdn for parking (???) which surprised us. No continental breakfast."

"Having arrived very late on a Saturday at check in time, after 1:30 am instead of Friday evening from a long trip there from Montreal, it was a nasty surprise to know that we were being billed a full extra day for only staying 1 1/2 days. That I don't agree with and the shuttle service was not avaiable to return us to our bus station so we had to take a cab after waiting for over 15 minutes! The personnel could have been much nicer then they were although we did get extra coffee and pillows when we asked for them. But for the $74 bucks per night we paid, it was all we needed. Close by, convenient, clean and presentable and cheap so it was good at best."

"They hand you a parking pass, you struggle to find parking; because there really isn't enough. The second night you park at the parking lot next door for $5.00 because there is no spots available in the hotel lot. Best of all when you check out they tack on a $20.00 parking fee, $10.00 per day for the last 2 days, even though you didn't park there because it was full and you were never told that parking was extra.

"make sure that you find your own parking, because the hotels parking is a joke. so look forward to spending at least 10 to 15 dollars for all night parking. the amenities are ok like the coffee pot in the room is cool, the pool and jacuzzi are cool, but the whole parking thing is just really frustrating."

"Normally when we stay in Windsor, we stay at the Casino hotel. The casino was booked for this particular weekend. In comparing the two hotel rooms, the only difference was the square footage of the bathrooms. The showers made up for this small concession. The riverfront window view is wonderful.
My only concern was the parking situation. The parking lot is extremely small and rented to local restaurants & bars for parking. As a hotel guest, we were asked to paid an additional $10.00 for a pass without a guaranteed spot. If you are looking to park after 8:00 pm, good luck!
We will be staying at the Travelodge Windsor again."

"I have never stayed at a hotel that didn't have adequate parking for its guests. We had to go three blocks at midnight to park up two flights of steps in the cold, rain and wind. Plus we had to pay to park, I don't think so. We would never stay there again. You could have had valet parking. And the enterance and what parking you had was so crammed and crowded. Also the sausage at the restaurant in the hotel was terrible. I have never tasted anything like it. Cheap fat was all it was."
