This older hotel offers a budget stay a 4-minute walk from Windsor's city centre and a minute's drive from the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel.

The hotel has a smoke-free and pet-free policy. All rooms come equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a desk, an iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer. Rooms with a mini-fridge and a jetted tub are also available.

Free parking is available on site for cars and oversize vehicles.

A free continental breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am daily.

The hotel also offers a hot tub, a 24-hour business centre, and meeting rooms.

Windsor Arena is about a 5-minute walk away, while Caesars's Casino can be found 4 minutes away by car, or a 15-minute walk. City Centre Mall is a 4-minute drive from the hotel and Windsor Airport (YQG) is a 15-minute drive without traffic. (All travel times: Google Maps)
The Good
Reviews online were largely mixed, but some guests found the hotel a decent budget hotel.

Likely the most attractive aspect of the hotel, was the lower room price. For guests who wanted to sleep in a clean bed overnight before accessing the Detroit tunnel, it seemed like a good choice.

Although the staff did receive some complaints for being unprofessional, some guests found the staff helpful and friendly and they were also reported as honest in returning items. Some guests mentioned that they were helpful in printing directions and suggesting good restaurants.

The hotel's location was close to downtown Windsor, restaurants, bars, Caesar's Windsor Casino, the Canada/U.S. border and the University of Windsor.

Several travellers were satisfied with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, functional and spacious, with comfortable beds.

Some guests appreciated the free parking which allowed for oversized vehicles and trucks.
The Bad
Not all guests were satisfied with the hotel and many left complaints posted in reviews.

Several guests reported dirty conditions. Recent complaints included very bad/urine/mildew/smoke/weed odours, dirty floors and carpets, stained mattresses and stained towels or bedding. There was an area or wing of the hotel that was referred to as the smoking section, so it is not certain if the hotel continues to allow smoking in that section.

Some said the hotel needed updates. Complaints consisted of peeling wallpaper, discoloured ceiling tiles, uncomfortable mattresses, old fixtures, loud AC units, old TVs and low water pressure.

The hotel offers a free breakfast and guests often felt it was lacking in selection. Guests described it as having coffee, watered down orange juice, musli, 2 types of cold cereal, bagels and cookies. Another guest described fresh fruit that looked old.

Several reviewers complained of noise disturbances during their stay. They reported loud guests partying and fighting in the hallways, as well as in adjacent and overhead rooms.

Some guests reported having seen or having been bitten by bed bugs at the hotel. Reports across various sites occured in October 2014 and February, March, September, and October of 2015.
