Reviews online were largely mixed, but some guests found the hotel a decent budget hotel.
Likely the most attractive aspect of the hotel, was the lower room price. For guests who wanted to sleep in a clean bed overnight before accessing the Detroit tunnel, it seemed like a good choice.
Although the staff did receive some complaints for being unprofessional, some guests found the staff helpful and friendly and they were also reported as honest in returning items. Some guests mentioned that they were helpful in printing directions and suggesting good restaurants.
The hotel's location was close to downtown Windsor, restaurants, bars, Caesar's Windsor Casino, the Canada/U.S. border and the University of Windsor.

Some said the hotel needed updates. Complaints consisted of peeling wallpaper, discoloured ceiling tiles, uncomfortable mattresses, old fixtures, loud AC units, old TVs and low water pressure.
