The Good
Guests typically enjoyed their stays at this comfortable hotel.

Guests found the rooms well cleaned, with comfortable beds. This was a reliable hotel, with modern amenities and all rooms had HD channels, a mini-fridge and microwave adding value.

The staff were described as friendly and helpful. One recent guest wrote, "The staff at this hotel made it feel like home."

The location, in the heart of the city, was well liked for its proximity to the river trails, pubs and restaurants, the casino, the Detroit Tunnel and of course, Tim Hortons!

Guests who spoke of the restaurant said good things. It had good food, friendly service and was well priced.

Guests did not mention the pool often, but those few who did seemed to find it well cared for and attractive.

The Bad
Complaints focused mainly on parking, but also touched on a few other things.

Guests with larger cars or trucks found the parking ramps tight. (Parking was either underground or above ground in a parkade and height restrictions are clearly mentioned on the hotel's website.) Occasionally guests were upset or surprised to have to pay extra for parking. Some said the lot on the second floor was small, providing limited spaces for the larger vehicles (that could not fit in the underground lot). Some guests liked having underground parking which they found secure for a downtown location.

A few guests felt the hotel could use a refresh. Complaints along this topic included: hallways smelled of smoke, beds were sunken in the middle, and a heater fan was noisy and cycled on an off regardless of the setting.

Occasionally guests found the room prices high (although several reviewers felt the hotel offered good value), and there was some mention of no hot tub in the pool area.
