"Rowdy, loud hotel....where the 19 year olds stay and party"
"If you are looking for a room for the night on a weekend and actually want to get a couple hours of sleep.....DO NOT STAY HERE! This is a motel where all the young 19 year old American kids stay when they go to the bars. This is not for the person that just does not want to drive home and catch a little sleep.
To start it off we arrived back at the hotel around 1am, and since it was a little noisy we figured we would watch a little tv. By 2am we switched the light off and tried to get some sleep. We had to call down to the front desk at 2:10 because there was so much noise it sounded like someone was coming through the ceiling. They said that they would look into it. By 2:30 we had to call again because nothing had changed....the lady at the desk told me that she would look into it again. By 3am I had had enough and called the front desk to tell her that I was going to pack up my car and then see her for a full refund. She told me that she could only give me half and that nobody was making noise. I told her I wanted a full refund and if she didn't believe me, come down to my room so I could show her how loud it was. When she did come down, she saw what was going on and did immediately give me a full refund.
She said that this happens frequently as the 19 year old American kids that are not old enough to drink in the US come to Windsor and stay at this motel because it is cheap. They party all night and even if they call the cops to evict these annoying teenagers, the cops don't come out. The lady at the front desk was really apologetic about what happened after she saw the kids and what they were doing. When we were leaving we actually saw one boy walk down the walkway knocking on every single door he passed. The walls in this motel seem paper thin because on more than one occasion could make out entire conversations that our neighbours were having.
In concluding, I am happy that they gave me the full refund, but I reserved the room so I wouldn't have to drive for an hour to get home. If you are looking for a room on a weekend to actually get any sleep, don't stay here."

"VERY RUN DOWN STINKING MOTEL ROOM - STAY AWAY"
"NON-SMOKING ROOM SIGN ON DOOR - VERY STRONG SMOKE SMELL IN ROOM / EVEN HAD ASHTRAYS IN ROOM
Door jamb in poor condition - appears that the door was forced open and damaged the jamb. The repair was shoddy.
Numerous broken floor tiles.
Duct vent cover on side of tub broken and sticking out several inches.
Wall paper peeling off walls in a number of locations.
Sink chipped.
Holes in ceiling along joint between ceiling sections.
Bathroom sink falling away from the wall.
At room entrance,underside of overhang flaking; broken pieces on sidewalk.
Internet advertised, but unable to access it in room. Had to stand on the sidewalk outside the room to use it.
My complaint about being in a smoking room was met with a reply that it was a smoking room, and was told that all the rooms were booked.
The second time I went to the office to find out why the internet wasn't working and sat there for a while using the internet on my laptop, a couple arrived to book in but their room wasn't as they expected and they left.
This motel is run down, the staff acted less than honourable. Although I made a point of stating in my reservation request that I wanted a non-smoking room and repeated that when I booked in, I was still given a smoking room and the person booking me in did not tell me that it was a smoking room.
I have photos of the room if you wish to see proof of my statements. I took them because I was extremely upset with the staff performance, rather lack of.
In my opinion, this is a motel that rowdy sports teams would frequent where damages would not be noticed and staff would not care anyway.

"At approximatly 3:00am we were woken by men swearing outside the rooms and all kinds of banging going on in what seemed the next room.I thought for sure the mamage would be up as the room was not that far away from the main office. The next morning when we checked out we asked what happened last night. The person behind the desk said she didn't know what we were talking about. We told her and she other people had chacked out and nobody said anything about last night. We find that hard to believe."
