Overview
Comfort Inn Windsor is located about a 1-minute drive south of the nearest E.C. Row Expressway on-ramp, and about a 9-minute drive from Windsor's city centre. The largest mall in Windsor, Devonshire Mall, is only a 3-minute drive away. This is a suitable option for travellers who prefer a well-priced hotel with easy highway access and freebies for added value, such as parking and breakfast. Those wanting to travel to Detroit should note that this hotel is about an 8-minute drive from the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.

Each of this two-storey hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Microwaves, mini-fridges and coffeemakers are also provided in each room, and one room is available with a jetted tub. Smoking or non-smoking rooms can be requested. Pets are permitted for an additional $20 per pet, per stay.

On-site amenities include free parking and a picnic and BBQ area. A free continental breakfast (with a couple of hot items such as omelettes and breakfast wraps) is served weekdays from 7 am to 9:30 am and from 7:30 am to 10 am on weekends. 

Comfort Inn Windsor does not have an elevator. The hotel itself is two floors, so guests should opt for a ground-floor room if the stairs would be an issue. However, wheelchair-accessible rooms are not available.

While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, Devonshire Mall offers several restaurant options, including a food court and two full-service restaurants, including Moxie's Classic Grill.

The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were quite positive, with guests very much enjoying their stay. Guests gave high praise to the hotel's rooms, rates, location and free breakfast. 

Many lodgers were impressed with their rooms at the hotel, describing them as renovated and updated. A few guests mentioned finding the hotel quiet considering its proximity to the highway, while several other road travellers found staying on the ground floor quite convenient, as they were able to park outside their patio doors. Many reviewers enjoyed their comfortable beds.

The hotel's rates were complimented by several reviewers, who described them as reasonable, inexpensive and economical. 

Several patrons found the hotel's proximity to E.C. Row Expressway to be very convenient when using the hotel as a stopover point on their travels. A few lodgers were also pleased with the restaurant and shopping options in the neighbourhood.

The hotel's free breakfast was a source of several compliments by reviewers, who described it as having a large variety of hot and cold items, as well as a clean eating area. A few travellers did complain about a lack of sufficient seating in the breakfast area, however (see below).

The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were very positive, there were a few minor complaints about the hotel's breakfast room and lack of elevator.

Although several guests thought that the breakfast area was well maintained, a few lodgers did complain about its size. They described the breakfast room as too small, with limited seating. These reviewers described having to take their food back to their rooms to eat when there were no tables available.

The hotel's lack of elevator was a bit of an inconvenience for a few patrons. These guests complained about carrying their luggage up the stairs to their rooms and recommended booking on the ground floor if stairs are an issue.

"The staff were helpful and pleasant. I would say the cleanliness of the room was fair, I had to have the cleaning staff revisit my room after I had already checked in (bathroom). They dealt with the inconvenience promptly. The breakfest items were good as well."

"Based on my comments as you can see my stay was uneventful and your facility was fine. However, there is something I'd like to make you aware of. On Friday (4/1) actaully this wuold have been SAturday am at approximately 2:30am..I returned from the Casino with my friend. We walked through the front lobby only to find the security guard asleep in a chair (in front of the window) in the front lobby next to the check-in counter/desk with his chin on his chest!! This did not make me feel very safe and put somewhat of a damper on the rest of the evening in terms of feeling safe. This would be one of the main reasons that I would not return to your property!! As a female I do look for the level of security that hotels provide. Thank you."

"I had the room by the stairwell which made for a rather noisy Saturday night. There was lots of yelling in the halls on Saturday night and the hotel staff didn't really do anything about it. Sunday night was better. The vending machines also "ate" quite a bit of money before giving me the product desired."
