Overview
Located on the border of Whitby and Oshawa and roughly a 15-minute drive from Durham College, the Quality Suites Whitby may suit road travellers who require an economical and pet-friendly hotel with extended-stay amenities and easy highway access.

This hotel has 104 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites, all of which offer free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. Standard rooms offer two double beds, while suites offer one king bed, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a desk, and a living area with a sofabed. King studios offer a separate bedroom, a full kitchenette and a second TV.

These guests complained that the breakfast hours ended too early (9 am), and that the staff stopped refreshing items 30 minutes prior to the breakfast ending. "When booking room 114 ensure the guest wants to get up early as the scrapping of the chairs on the dining room floor is so loud tis impossible to sleek through it. I did mention this to the fellow at the front desk and he appreciated the info suggesting the hotel could put rubber tips. On the chairs - I suggested a rubber floor! Anyway the hotel gave excellent service and the complimentary breakfast was excellent too. One of today's word usage that bugs me is the use of "guys" - when we (all females) walked I to the hotel we were greeted "hi guys." No I'll feelings intended by the staff. Thank you for the opportunity for my feedback and a very huge thank you to the outstanding staff"

"way too expensive for what it had to offer, rooms were not very clean, found a sock from the last customer under the bed.....bedding needs to be changed up, upgrade rooms...."

"Overall room and hotel were clean, but there were cracker or cookie crumbs on the floor underneath the dust ruffle. Just a reminder that you have to clean everywhere you can see, plus some areas where you can't always see."

"At the time I stayed, I received unacceptable service. I encoutered problems due to the ack of maintenenace and suffered the whole visit there. I was vey upset and it ruined my stay and it led me to the decision of not staying at the Quality Suites in Whitby or wherever visiting again."

"My room didn't even have an iron & ironing board. I was on the ground level by an entrenance door which I heard open and slam shut all evening. (not very easy to sleep) Also, it was very cold last week and the floor was so cold that I could not sit at the desk and work because my feet go so cold. I will look around the area for better lodging as I have a large project going on in that area and will require me to stay somewhere for several weeks this year....."
