"Holiday Inn Express hotels overall are a very good value for the money. This hotel was no different except the housekeeping staff where very noisy in the hallways starting very early in the morning. Not all guests leave at 7am."

"The rooms were very clean and roomy. We found the hotel staff very helpful, the cleaning lady even helped us to the elevator on checkout with our luggage."

"Reno's or not, it's still the best bang for your buck."
"Even though the lobby was going through some renovations, which was no problem, there should have been a sign or information that the breakfast area was still going to be open. We would have taken advantage of that had we known and gotten up a little earlier before we departed."

"Very basic amenities. Bed not really comfortable. Breakfast bar was very good."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We found the hotel to be clean and very well kept. The room was quite comfortable and the staff very helpful, curteous and professional. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we are in Whitby."

"At breakfast the both milk jugs were empty and the garbage bin was overflowing when we went to clear the plastic plates from our table on leaving - there did not appear to be any staff watching the facilities at breakfast."

"Just two things. 1) I'd put a fan in your fitness centre to keep the air circulating. 2) the grade up from the pavement into your driveway is too step; although it's only about 4 feet deep. But even at slow speed the front end of my car grazed the pavement. And you can tell by the scrapes that cars are commonly doing this!"

"I really enjoyed the Hotel but I was very unhappy with the customer service when I checked in, the lady was extremely rude. I had no problem with the women who helped me check out, she was very friendly."
