The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's location, staff and rooms.

Many reviewers praised the hotel's location, finding it close to downtown, public transit, restaurants, attractions, shopping and the Distillery District. One patron remarked, "But the most exciting thing about Toronto Garden Inn is it's accessibility to everything. I don't drive so the public transportation at the corner made my stay an absolute joy and the 10 minute walk to downtown was more than I expected". A few travellers complained about the hotel's surrounding area, however (see below).

The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by guests, who found them friendly, helpful and accommodating. One guest noted, "Bryan (the manager) is always willing and ready to help you with any questions you may have about your stay and about the city. He is very friendly and welcoming to everyone. Not only was he a great help to me but to all the guests that were staying there".

Several lodgers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as cozy, clean, charming and quiet, with comfortable beds.

The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about the shared bathrooms and the hotel's surrounding area.

Some guests complained about the hotel's shared bathrooms. They felt there weren't enough of them given the number of guests at the hotel and reported line ups and crowding. A few travellers also complained about the bathroom on the main floor being very near the eating area, which they found to be awkward. A couple of guests bedroom was located next to the bathroom and they were disturbed by noise transfer.

Although the majority of lodgers were pleased with the hotel's central locale, a few reviewers complained about its surrounding area being sketchy and seedy. One patron noted, "Neighborhood is in the process of gentrifying. Not all streets are pleasant to walk".
