Guests had pretty mixed opinions about this hotel and many guests were not happy with their stay. However guests that were at least partly impressed with the property appeared to like the room amenities, beds and location.
Although the topic of rooms was not free from complaints, there was a large contingent of guests who found their rooms clean and comfortable, in the reviews read recently for this report. Some of the positives mentioned were a strong Wi-Fi signal, good TV and channel selection, really comfortable beds, usefulness of having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room and more than one guest said their rooms were quiet.
Location was definitely a winner to many guests who found it easy to access from the highway and in a quiet area close to a park. Guests also liked the hotel's proximity to bus and GO Train.
Adding value to the stay were the indoor pool, hot tub and free parking.
Guest opinion was mixed on several aspects of the hotel stay in the reviews read to complete this report.
When it came to evaluating the staff and manager guests were divided pretty much in half, with one group saying the staff were pleasant and accessible and the other side saying they were rude, unfriendly or disorganized.
Value for price, again was divided down the middle with half saying good value and other half saying expensive or not worth it.
Guest opinion about the hotel's cleanliness was divided as well, with one group saying that the hotel seemed unkept, not up to standard and even dirty and run down and an equal contingent saying it was clean enough, relatively clean and even very clean.
The free breakfast had slightly more guests criticizing than were complimenting. The criticisms were that it was limited and ran out an hour before closing, too crowded and even awful. The compliments were that it was decent, okay and even delicious with self-made waffles.
One thing guests were unanimous about was that the hotel needed updates. Many guests either pointed out areas that needed repairs or said it was dated. Some guests were even more critical and said it needed an overhaul, called it dingy and even a dump. A few guests said their non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke.
