Overview
The Super 8 Toronto North is situated on the north side of Steeles Avenue West, just east of Highway 400. Highway 407, an express toll route, is also quite close to the hotel. The Super 8 Toronto North is quite close to both the Rexall Centre and York University, while the nearest major public transit station is about 4.4kms away, just to the east of the university.
The Downsview Airport is not in the hotel’s immediate vicinity however it can still be accessed by taking Highway 400 with a driving time of less than 20 minutes. The Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about a 15 minute drive away (all distances/driving times: Google Maps).
The hotel offers several services at no charge to registered guests. Those services include free Wifi, free parking, free local calls, free in-room movies, free continental breakfast, and free daily newspapers. The hotel also has an indoor pool complete with a waterslide.

The guests who approved of the location often said that the nearby restaurants were conveniently located. Some guests liked the fact that the hotel was close to either Highway 400 or Highway 407. Occasionally guests liked the fact that York University was nearby.
In regard to the breakfast, guests often expressed general satisfaction. They indicated that they liked the quality or that there was enough selection.
Less frequently, guests said that they thought the hotel had fair to good value. Some guests thought the price was cheap and that helped make their stay affordable.
The Bad
Guests complaints for this property were numerous and they almost exclusively fell into two categories. Many guests disliked their room for various reasons while several patrons were highly critical of the hotel’s pool area.
Guests who expressed some sort of dissatisfaction with their rooms complained about several different problems. Mold in the bathroom, insufficient hot water, room dirtiness, and complaints about uncomfortable beds stood out among the varying complaints.
Guests also frequently complained about the hotel’s pool. Many guests said that the water was cloudy or dirty and that the pool area smelled badly. Those factors alone turned many people away from the area without going for a swim at all.
Those who actually went into the pool frequently said that the water was so cold as to deter any kind of prolonged enjoyment. The pool had a waterslide but the comments about the pool were convincingly one-sided and negative.
