The Good
Some guests enjoyed their stay.

Rooms were typically described as clean and spacious with comfy beds. Stadium view rooms were a highlight with good sight lines to view the game, windows that opened and a TV nearby for watching replays and commentary.

The location was well liked. It was convenient to the convention centre, the CN Tower, Ripleys, Union Station with indoor paths, restaurants and pubs.

Staff were friendly and efficient and many were mentioned by name as exceeding expectations.

Guests liked the dining on site. They mentioned the award-winning bread pudding, the prime-rib special, and a good choice of draft beer along with the trendy lighting of the restaurant, and great views of the stadium.

Guests also liked: the bar facing the baseball field and Starbucks in the lobby .

The Bad
Some were disappointed with their stay.

Recent room complaints: room was humid and sheets smelled of mildew, AC units need to be upgraded, rooms are too hot/too cold and cannot control the in-room temperature, poor view of train tracks, housekeeping did not come to clean the room, no counter for toiletries, ceiling too low in bathroom at the mirror, sink basin rusting and taps worn, peeling wallpaper, mattress old, could feel springs and sagging in the middle and shower needed updating.

Some found the hotel expensive. They complained of the high room prices, a $10 fee for bottled water, extra charges for parking and the cost of the buffet breakfast.

Pool complaints included: not like/smaller than the pictures, it’s accessed through a maze and down a flight of stairs, area is not well lit, water looked dark/foggy and unappealing, hot tub was filthy and pool area needs a complete overhaul.

Noise was a problem from: the stadium for after the game clean up noise in the wee hours and on occasion when the stadium was preparing for events, trains passing by from Union Station, partiers in the halls, AC fans and a maintenance room nearby.

Other comments found: staff seemed overworked and some were rude, fitness centre is attached to a physio clinic and does not have a lot of equipment and the members lounge was cheap.
