The GoodGuest reviews of the Radisson Hotel Toronto East were quite mixed. The guests that liked the hotel usually made positive statements about the property's location and its room rates.
Guests that liked the location of the hotel typically referenced the property's close proximity to major roadways. Many guests mentioned that the 401 highway, for example, was accessible at a short distance from the hotel. Some guests also mentioned that the 404 highway was nearby and occasionally a guest indicated that the Don Valley Parkway, a roadway that led to downtown Toronto, was easy to get to from the hotel.
Several guests felt as though the property offered competitive room rates or "great value." Some guests were also happy that they were able to access the Internet in their rooms for free and many guests felt those rooms were large or "spacious."
The Bad
Guests complaints for this hotel were common and they covered a range of property features.
For starters, numerous guests had problems with amenities at the hotel not working properly. Many guests complained that their Sleep Number beds did not adjust, some guests judged the Internet to be slow, and multiple guests found their room phones to be broken. A couple guests complained about problems with their toilet and one guest claimed that his/her's was "clogged." Occasionally a guest complained about the in-room heater or air conditioning unit not working properly.
When it came to either the staff or the cleanliness of the rooms, it's fair to say that the hotel did not consistently impress guests. There were a number of patrons that had good experiences with the staff however complaints about staff attitude or their reluctance to help were still somewhat common. Many guests felt that their rooms were clean however there were enough complaints about dirtiness to suggest that it was a problem at the hotel.
Guests that described the condition of the property felt that it was "old," "tired," or in need of renovations. As examples, one guest described a "cracky ceiling" and another guest found the parking lot to be "full of pot holes."
Several guests were also unhappy that the hotel did not offer free parking.
