The Good
Guest reviews of the Radisson Hotel Toronto East were quite mixed. The guests that liked the hotel usually made positive statements about the property's location and its room rates.

Guests that liked the location of the hotel typically referenced the property's close proximity to major roadways. Many guests mentioned that the 401 highway, for example, was accessible at a short distance from the hotel. Some guests also mentioned that the 404 highway was nearby and occasionally a guest indicated that the Don Valley Parkway, a roadway that led to downtown Toronto, was easy to get to from the hotel.

Several guests felt as though the property offered competitive room rates or "great value." Some guests were also happy that they were able to access the Internet in their rooms for free and many guests felt those rooms were large or "spacious."
The Bad
Guests complaints for this hotel were common and they covered a range of property features.

For starters, numerous guests had problems with amenities at the hotel not working properly. Many guests complained that their Sleep Number beds did not adjust, some guests judged the Internet to be slow, and multiple guests found their room phones to be broken. A couple guests complained about problems with their toilet and one guest claimed that his/her's was "clogged." Occasionally a guest complained about the in-room heater or air conditioning unit not working properly.

When it came to either the staff or the cleanliness of the rooms, it's fair to say that the hotel did not consistently impress guests. There were a number of patrons that had good experiences with the staff however complaints about staff attitude or their reluctance to help were still somewhat common. Many guests felt that their rooms were clean however there were enough complaints about dirtiness to suggest that it was a problem at the hotel.

Guests that described the condition of the property felt that it was "old," "tired," or in need of renovations. As examples, one guest described a "cracky ceiling" and another guest found the parking lot to be "full of pot holes."

Several guests were also unhappy that the hotel did not offer free parking.

"Stay for medical appointment"

"We stayed at the Radisson because of a medical appointment at North York General the next morning. The Hotel is close. The room we got was newly renovated except for the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. Even though there was traffic outside, the room was quiet. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely go back."

"Need to have better TV's and Tv service in rooms. No movies not a good thing."

"clean and comfortable but miscommunication about amenities."

"The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our problem with the hotel was that it had a pool and that is why we chose it. The pool was not working at check in and I asked if we could swim and we were told by the front desk clerk and the maintenance man that YES we could swim but the heater is not working. When we went swimming the maintenance man came in and wanted to know who let us in and told us we had to leave. We were not allowed to swim. We chose the hotel because we have 3 little ones and all they wanted to do was swim. Meanwhile the front desk clerk and other hotel clientelle were telling us that we could swim. That really upset us."

"Just off the 401 Hwy makes it relatively convenient if driving."

"Good first impression, friendly staff and a nice room, but the carpets in the halls and the food in the Cafe restaurant need some improvement. Very handy to the 401."

"Carpet needed to be clean, and vending machines were out of order."

"Easy to find from the airport. Good for onward road connections - Great view of the highway! No easy public transport connections. Not good as a base to explore Toronto - stay downtown. Rooms as you would expect from this chain. Good value but you need a car. Good pub nearby!"
