The Good
Guest reviews read recently for this report were quite mixed, although the general impression was that the hotel offered an average room with friendly staff.

Guests that liked the location of the hotel typically referenced the property's close proximity to major roadways. Many guests mentioned that the 401 highway, for example, was accessible at a short distance from the hotel. Some guests also mentioned that the 404 highway was nearby and occasionally a guest indicated that the Don Valley Parkway, a roadway that led to downtown Toronto, was easy to get to from the hotel.

Some guests were also happy that they were able to access the Internet in their rooms for free and many guests felt those rooms were large or spacious.

The staff of this hotel was definitely a highlight for many guests who experienced warm and accommodating service. They were sometimes mentioned by name.

The Bad
Guests provided mixed opinions in the reviews read recently for this editorial.

It seems that the property is older and some guests were therefore more critical of the hotel, especially those in non-renovated rooms seemed to express that it was not worth the price being charged for the room.

Some guests complained about extra charges for parking, although there were some who felt that $8 was quite reasonable.

A few guests said that Wi-Fi was intermittent during their stay, but again others found the Wi-Fi to work well.

"Very convenient and friendly!"

"I had to book the room the same day that I arrived at the hotel and found myself with booking problems to which the staff was very solution oriented. They went the extra mile to make you feel at home. Every staff member was polite and dynamic! Great stay!"

"Stay for medical appointment"

"We stayed at the Radisson because of a medical appointment at North York General the next morning. The Hotel is close. The room we got was newly renovated except for the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. Even though there was traffic outside, the room was quiet. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely go back."

"clean and comfortable but miscommunication about amenities."

"The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our problem with the hotel was that it had a pool and that is why we chose it. The pool was not working at check in and I asked if we could swim and we were told by the front desk clerk and the maintenance man that YES we could swim but the heater is not working. When we went swimming the maintenance man came in and wanted to know who let us in and told us we had to leave. We were not allowed to swim. We chose the hotel because we have 3 little ones and all they wanted to do was swim. Meanwhile the front desk clerk and other hotel clientelle were telling us that we could swim. That really upset us."

"Good first impression, friendly staff and a nice room, but the carpets in the halls and the food in the Cafe restaurant need some improvement. Very handy to the 401."

"Easy to find from the airport. Good for onward road connections - Great view of the highway! No easy public transport connections. Not good as a base to explore Toronto - stay downtown. Rooms as you would expect from this chain. Good value but you need a car. Good pub nearby!"
