"Great value for what you get"

"This hotel is in a great location close to the highway 400 series. You do get value for money but the amenities are not there for families with children. For example there is no pool which most families with children look forward to. However it is a great value for an overnight stay or up to two nights. You need a car rental if want to stay longer in order to have access to other restaurants or tour the city including downtown Toronto."

"First time at this location"

"The rooms were very clean but had a powerful detergent smell. We had an excellent breakfast in their on site restaurant which is manned by very courteous wait staff. The cleaning staff, that we shared an elevator with, was very friendly which is more than I can say for the older woman at the desk in the lobby. I asked for a print out of my bill which I was promptly and abruptly informed that because I had reserved over the inter-net that was my copy. My Step mother who had just checked out not even 2 min before me got a copy and I paid for their room as well. When I spoke with her she showed me her receipt. I went back up to the front desk, and now I'm getting the cold shoulder as she does other things, but I wait patiently while she finishes her tasks and again request a copy of my charges. Once again I am abruptly informed that because it was 3rd. party billing that I was not entitled to a copy whereby I showed her my step mothers' receipt. She huffed at me and said well if you insist, I now glaring say yes, I insist. It was only then that she gave me a receipt. The charges were to my card for both rooms and being that we were the last plane to land in Pearson that night with all the cancellations and delays, the stress of the weather, having to stay in Toronto another night, the very last thing that I wanted was attitude from a desk clerk. I sincerely recommend that this individual receive some formal customer service training. The younger woman was much friendlier so if you check in or out wait for her. Would I stay again? Probably."

"This hotel is far from anything walking-distance. The restaurant attached is deciding whether it wants to be a bar or a hotel, with uncomfortable seats poorly matched with the height of the table, and the food was terrible. Restaurant staff was friendly, though. The hotel staff was just OK. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and I think it stressed the staff a lot because I didn't see one smile, did not hear one hello! Not a great experience overall A small fridge in the room would be appreciated."

"Despite the answers above, I was astonished that no ordinary cereals were available for breakfast (corn flakes) during my stay. When I questioned the staff they were not bothered and I felt that I was disturbing their viewing of the TV, which was on in the restaurant at the time."

"With respect to items 2 and 7 above, my negative responses are solely a consequence of the god-awful stink in the "smoking" room that I took in the absence of availability of any "non-smoking". I did expect evidence of a tolerable level of cigarette smoke, but it is much too much when your clothes smell the next day of the pollution. Time for some wall washing or fumigation or whatever!!! Furthermore, the assessing of a US$4.60 charge for "booking" when none is indicated on your website, I believe is outside the law, and is expected to be refunded. I now look forward to your comments."

"A couple of small complaints. I was in Rm 518 - the tv set picture would go black then would come back on a bit later. I take it there was some kind of intermittent short-circuit or a problem with the picture tube. In the morning the checkout was smooth. But I've got to tell you the front desk guy...shall we say: maybe he's not a morning person. Somewhat less than friendly. Looked like he hadn't had his coffee or something. A bit of friendliness at the desk would go a long way. Other than that... a good stay. Enjoyed the restaurant/lounge the night before too."

"The hotel wasn't horrible in itself, it just wasn't that great either. The problems I experienced were things like a hair in the bathtub, the bathroom door didn't close, and some of the amenities listed on the hotel's website weren't actually available. The beds weren't all that comfortable-the mattresses were hard and the pillows lumpy, but that's not entirely unusual in hotels. Other than that, the front desk was very helpful with any questions we had. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant-which is very expensive! If you're looking to be in downtown Toronto, I would recommend a hotel downtown, as the Quality is quite a ways."

"This is the worst hotel I and my family have ever stayed at...the rooms were dirty, the staff were rude and were unwilling to make our stay a positive one. Our stay was only for one night...but it was "hell". I made my reservations through this web site believing that the park and fly option was included, but I was wrong. Once I arrived at the hotel, they were not willing to charge me the difference in price...but they were willing to charge me $20.00 a day to park. The staff is very rude, but I would like to say "Thanks" to the concierge for resolving the problem in a respectful manor."

7 out of 10 | Sam stayed October 17, 2005

"I am a non-smoker but ended up taking the smoking room because the price was right. That was a mistake. I could not sleep in the smoking room as my lungs refused to breathe the smoke contaminated air in the room. After tossing and turning for over two hours, I called the front desk and asked for a non-smiking room. The staff was very helpful and they immediately found me a non-smoking room. Great! But I could not sleep well for the rest of the night because of the traffic noise from the highway. But the traffic noise was just tolerable though. I guess the hotel choice was okay for the price I paid for the room. Since I cannot afford a high priced hotel with sound proof rooms, I may stay at this hotel again."

"When we reserved the Hotel on-line, we knew that we had Breakfast included; the moment we arrived there, the breakfast was only a hook to sell because we did not receive it. Another hook was the free internet; when we arrived to the hotel, we realized that we had to bring our own computer, in order to use that service."

"We were at this hotel without a vehicle for one night, and there was nothing close by for us to walk to. There was a restaurant in the hotel, so that was kind of our evening!"

"The gentleman that picked us up at the airport on Jan.17th, and drove us back to the hotel to pick up our vehicle was fantastic! He asked us all about our trip, and was just very friendly and a joy to ride with!"

"Hotel very conveniently located near highway 401 and the airport."

8 out of 10 | Kevin stayed January 01, 2004

"My two son's enjoyed the cookies upon arrival as well as the two waterslides. I requested and was given a room on one of the top floors facing the airport. They enjoyed seeing the planes fly by on their approach to the airport. I was surprised by how quiet the room was given the close proximity of the planes to it. The pool area will keep children busy for a couple of hours. I was very satisfied based on the price I paid for the room."
