"must have been lovely in its prime - not anymore"

"The front desk staff were surly. The hotel felt shabby, the room also. Lovely furniture, great space, comfy bed, must have been great when it was new, but felt run down and shabby. Heating didn't seem to bear any relation to the dials, very hot all night. Coffee in the room chintzy - one cup and powdered creamer? Not the best Toronto stay i've ever had, was quite disappointed."

"The rooms were very well appointed - would have liked to stay longer, but it is still pretty pricey at over $230 per night. It would be nice to have some parking options, other than the $34 valet charge, but Toronto downtown parking.....little choice. The staff were very accomodating, and we had a wonderful stay. We picked this hotel because of its convenient location, right across the road from Massey Hall."
