"Our experience at the King Edward will be remembered. From our room upgrade at check-in to the extraordinary High Tea and the comfort and appointments of the room, it was outstanding."

"I find it hard to believe that this is one of the top 30 rated hotels in North America. I am curious now as to when that survey was conducted??? I expected much, much more. I was disappointed with the room - a very standard room for the money. I upgraded to a junior suite for an additional $30 a night, which was a decent size room, but the bath area needs to be upgraded - very small and old. In addition, I was dinged an extra $30/day for parking on top of everything else.
I would refer to the Hotel Sofitel in Montreal as a good example of value for the money based on the amenities and quality of the room."

"I thought we got a great deal for a King room in a great location for $99.00 CAD, I shopped around and the best I could find was $149.99 CAD. The parking was alot at $30.00 CAD but that's Toronto parking for you!"

"Drain in the bath tub was very slow. The towels were old and thin; would have preferred thick fluffy towels considering the price of the room."

"The customer service at the hotel was very poor. We had to line up for 20 minutes to check out. When we tried to order coffee by room service we were told it would take 45 minutes. Incidentally, there were no coffee making facilities in the room! Very disappointing given the grade and reputation of the hotel."

"Very limited valet parking available - which appeared to be a problem at first - but lot was around the corner and was half the price of valet - which of course pleased us."
