The Isabella Hotel And Suites is not the most liked or highly regarded hotel by guests. While many thought it was a good value as it was a conveniently located and inexpensive accommodation, others found the size and quality of the rooms to be unacceptable. The property is relatively small at 39 rooms. Average guest ratings were just over 6 out of 10 points (on 10 point scales) and a bit over 3 out of 5 points (on 5 point scales).
The GoodMany guest reviewers across all sources used for this analysis felt the property was a good value for the money spent. This hotel is a relatively inexpensive option compared to other Toronto hotels nearby. The hotel is conveniently located near a TTC subway station and not too far from the popular shopping area of Yonge and Bloor. While there were numerous complaints regarding the small size of the bathroom, there were a handful of delighted reviewers that found the shower to be large and nicely finished.
The Bad
Unfortunately for the Isabella Hotel And Suites complaints were very easy to come across on all sources used for this analysis. According to reviewers the rooms were much smaller and more basic than expected. In fact a handful of guests across multiple sources mentioned they felt misled by the photos found online stating the pictures were not representative of reality. In addition, a few reviewers mentioned the room did not smell inviting and did not appear to be properly cleaned. A few guests even complained of bedbugs and having to switch rooms. The in-room, wired Internet connection was said to be unreliable. The only area to get wireless Internet was in the hotel lobby and even that was said to be hit or miss. Parking is an extra charge and must be booked ahead of time as space is extremely limited according to numerous reviews. Guest reviews on Expedia.com and TripAdvisor.com mentioned the breakfast was limited in selection and quite boring. Customer service was inconsistent as there were many complaints mixed with praises. In addition, there were complaints from multiple Orbitz.com guest reviewers that the staff were not knowledgeable about the city and provided the guest with incorrect and misleading directions.
