The Good
This was a well liked hotel overall and guests usually found a comfortable and clean room at a fair and affordable price for downtown Toronto.

Guests all seemed to like the location. They said it was an easy walk to various types of public transit, Eaton Centre, the ferry terminal to Toronto Island airport, downtown attractions, the underground PATH network of shops and walkways, and good restaurants. This area also had a little more homey feel than the downtown core, with its nearby parks.

Guests liked the plentiful free breakfast. Guests said it was great, above expectations and they were impressed by the offerings. One recent guest put it like this, "Breakfast was great, there was a wide range of options to choose from e.g. yogurt, biscuits, oatmeal, fresh fruit, sausages, eggs, pancakes etc."

The staff were very well liked by guests who gave them high scores in the reviews. They were often found to be friendly, accommodating and efficient.

Although due for a refresh, guests were usually pleased with the rooms which they described as clean, quiet, spacious, with good bathroom lighting, good city views, and very comfortable beds.

The Bad
There were a few complaints found online in recent reviews.

Several recent guests complained about the dated condition of the hotel and said that although the beds were new, the carpets and furniture needed to be replaced. The manager responding to the reviews said that the hotel will be seeing some renovations and updates to the rooms in 2016.

Occasionally guests found their rooms small and felt they needed to receive a deep clean, especially the carpets.

Wi-Fi was reported as good overall, but some guests found it hard to connect to, or spotty.

Very occasionally, guests complained of noise transfer from guests in nearby rooms or hallways, or from traffic.

There was some mention of the parking garage being tight and tricky to get in and out of, although found rarely in the reviews.
