This 6 story building located in downtown Toronto is approximately 3 blocks north of Queen Street West and approximately 2 blocks west of Spadina Avenue.
Chinatown and Kensington Market are both approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The Art Gallery of Ontario (900m), the Fashion District (1km) and the Entertainment District (1.4km) are also all within walking distance. The Canadian National Exhibition (4.2km), The Rogers Centre (2.3km), The Metro Convention Centre (2.3km), the CN Tower (2.2km) and the Air Canada Centre (3.1km) are easily accessed from the hotel by car or public transport. The Grange features studio units equipped with kitchenettes, cable televisions, double and single beds. Free WiFi and daily maid service is included in the room rate and there is a coin operated laundry room on every floor. Coffee is not included in the room rate however guests may request a coffee maker (excluding coffee) for their units for a $10 deposit. Guests are also required to pay a $200 room deposit.
Local calls are charged at a rate of $0.20 per minute and the parking fee is $5.00 per day. Check in time is 2pm or earlier if a room is available and check out is 12pm.

The GoodGuest reviews of this hotel typically pointed out the value for money spent, the downtown location and the friendly staff. Most guests mentioned that this hotel is a convenient choice for those traveling on a budget and said it was a “good deal” for downtown Toronto. The proximity to tourist attractions, shopping and entertainment areas was noted favourably by many guests.
Several reviewers of the Grange Hotel said their rooms were adequate, clean and what they expected in a budget accommodation. Many enjoyed having a kitchenette in their units as it gave them the option to cook their own meals and store their own beverages.
A number of guests remarked that the $5/per day parking fee was reasonably priced for downtown Toronto. Guest reviews regarding staff were generally positive and most described them as “friendly”, “helpful” and “knowledgeable”.
The Bad
Guest complaints of this hotel typically spoke of the room size, the cleanliness and the weak WiFi signal. Several guest reviewers felt their rooms were too small and described them as “dorm-like”.
Some said the kitchenettes as well as their rooms needed to be cleaned and a few guests complained about the smell of cigarette smoke within the hotel. A number of guests were frustrated by the weak WiFi signal.
There were a few peripheral complaints that are worth mentioning such as location and room deposit. A few guests felt that the location was unsafe and were uncomfortable staying in this part of the city. Other guests said they were not told about the $200 room deposit prior to booking.
