The GoodGuests that stayed at the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites Downtown had mixed opinions of the hotel. The guests who liked the property were impressed with the location, the price, and the hotel's staff.
Guests that liked the location of the hotel typically were happy to be staying "close to downtown" Toronto. Several guests mentioned that they were within "walking distance" of several downtown destinations or amenities. Many guests felt as though they were close to "Toronto attractions," the subway system, and restaurants.
Several guests liked the price of the hotel's room rates. Many of these guests felt that the rates offered were "decent" or "good" and one guest, for instance, said that "the hotel was certainly reasonably priced." Many of these guests seemed to think that the property was a strong pick for value.
The staff at the hotel also received a lot of praise. Many guests found them to be "helpful" or "professional" and there were very few offsetting complaints.
In regard to the rooms, guests seemed to be generally satisfied and multiple guests indicated that they thought their rooms were large or spacious.
The Bad
Guests that did not like the hotel were unhappy with a few common features.
For starters, many guests did not like the hotel's free breakfast. These guests felt as though it was basic with one guest describing nothing more than "bread and butter." Another guest who described the breakfast detailed slightly better selection but still felt as though it was "unacceptable" with "some toast and two kinds of cereal nobody (wanted) to eat."
Several guests felt as though the "rooms were very hot." One guest said that "the temperature outside was about 0ÂșC" but he/she had to leave the "windows open all day and night, to balance the over heating inside."
Parking at the hotel was not possible for guests that were motorists. The hotel did not provide this service at all and that left patrons searching the nearby area for parking at additional cost.
