There are 290 guest rooms at the hotel and they offer free Wi-Fi, coffeemakers, air conditioning, safes, free local calls and desks. Bedding configurations are either one king bed or two queens and many rooms at the hotel include microwaves.
Facilities at the pet-friendly hotel ($35/night) include meeting rooms, a 24-hour business centre with wired Internet, parking ($5 per night), and a concierge desk. The hotel has some recreational facilities that include an indoor pool, a fitness centre, and a sauna. The hotel also has a restaurant on-site and offers breakfast for $5.
The hotel is near both Fairview Mall (1.2km) and the Don Mills Subway Station (1.1km). The Toronto Pearson International Airport is about 28.3km away and the two points are connected by the 401 Highway. Tourist attractions in downtown Toronto such as the CN Tower are roughly 22.0km away (distances - Google Maps).
Guests who stayed at this hotel gave the property mixed reviews. On the plus side, the staff and the guest rooms seemed to impress several guests.
Many guests experienced helpful and friendly staff at this hotel, although there was some variance of opinion (see below for more details).
Some guests found the rooms to be clean and spacious and some rooms had been upgraded with good quality beds and linens.
Some guests liked the location of the hotel because of the property's close proximity to major highways and a mall.
There were many complaints in recent reviews about the state of the hotel where there seemed to be a lack of heat in many rooms, the pool was not heated and the hot tub and two elevators (out of three) were out of service. One guest complained of no hot water in their room and another of a lack of daily supplies for the rooms (tissue paper etc.)
Others had cleaning issues in their rooms (dirty bathrooms, carpets, stained linens) and several said the public areas of the hotel were dirty. Slow-to-no Internet was mentioned by one guest. A couple of guests complained about a noisy heating unit in the room. Some complained of peeling paint in the bathrooms.
Some guests were disappointed with having to pay for parking and a couple of guests mentioned that the parking lot was not plowed after the snowfall.
Some guests found rude and unpleasant staff and even witnessed arguments between the staff and also between guests and staff members.
