The GoodGuests who stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Airport had mixed reviews of the property. The hotel's main strength appeared to be its close proximity to the Toronto International airport.
Numerous guests who stayed at this hotel mentioned that they were either departing on a flight or that they had just arrived on one. These guests seemed to like that the hotel was close to YYZ and many of them benefited from the hotel's complimentary airport shuttle. Some guests also liked the hotel's location because they found a good selection of restaurants in the area.
Many other perspectives on the hotel were quite inconsistent especially in regard to the hotel's staff, the noise at the property, and the room quality. On the positive side, many guests enjoyed their interactions with staff as the employees were often called "friendly" and/or "helpful." Some guests indicated that they had a quiet stay and a couple guests specifically said that the airplanes did not bother them. Many guests also liked their rooms which were often called spacious and/or clean.
Occasionally a guest was happy about the hotel's facilities and a couple guests implied that they liked the hotel's pool.
The Bad
Guests that did not entirely enjoy their stay varied on what they did not like.
A common complaint at the hotel had to do with the value that guests felt that they received for the prices they paid. Some guests were disappointed that breakfast was not included in their room rates and there were also many guests who were unhappy about paying for parking.
While many guests appreciated the shuttle service there were some that experienced long wait times. A couple guests mentioned that their pickup waiting times were more than 30 minutes and another guest said he "sat in the lobby for quite awhile waiting for the shuttle."
Occasionally guests had problems with noise at the property and, contrary to the experiences of others, they blamed the planes that "passed immediately above the hotel." The staff also received some inconsistent reviews as occasionally a guest called a staff member "rude."
Multiple guests complained about a poor Wifi connection that either did not work or only worked slowly. Some guests also said that their beds were "hard and uncomfortable" and other guests implied that their rooms were not up to their expectations.
Reviews of this hotel were not consistently good or bad and perhaps luck affected whether or not guests enjoyed their stay. There were several guests who indicated that they either would not be returning to this hotel or that they would not be recommending it.
