"A nice place to stay, with a very courteous staff."
"A comfortable room, with a good staff, eager to please. Pool small, but maintained well. Location good, restaurants, drug store and plenty of stores for the basics. Area seemed safe as well. Will stay there again without a doubt!"

"A pleasant stay at good value"
"I've have given a high rating because for the price I paid the hotel was well located downtown and the service personnel were helpful, and everything was shipshape. There was a swimming pool - only critism is a bench to sit on in the changing rooms would be nice to have."

"This hotel was fantastic. The employees were very polite and extremely helpful. The rooms very very clean. The beds were amazingly comfortable. We needed a "cot" brought up for our daughter, and to our pleasant surprise it was more like a very clean single bed on wheel. We were very impressed."

"The Courtyard is a great hotel."
"From some of the bad reviews I read from other sites I was skeptical of my stay there.... But I have to say that my stay at The Courtyard was great. The room I got was very clean at my arrival. For the price I paid the room (double beds) was perfect, very spacious. Had no problems with there being too much noise or any problems at all. The staff were nice always smiling. Though I didn't need my room to be cleaned when I was going out for a bite to eat the cleaning lady asked if I needed any towels, soap, toilet paper etc. The location is great there is a McDonalds, pizza pizza right across the and many restaurants, sports bar along Young st also the fact that Eaton Centre is a 10min walk away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in downtown Toronto. I'm definetly going to come back to The Courtyard (hopefully I can get the same room)"

"Not the best check in or parking"
"I requested a smoking room. Upon check in they said the building is smoke free. That would have nice to know before reserving a room. Also when checking in they said I reserved 1 king bed, when I clearly needed and reserved 2 double beds for 4 people. How would 4 people fit into 1 king bed. I didn't like the parking set up, they try to force you into valet parking. The self parking is off site and a bit of a pain the butt. There was no in room check out, unlike every major hotel now a days."

"Wished my stay was longer"
"My daughter and I enjoyed staying at the Marriott Courtyard. The staff was very friendly and easy to understand. The room was clean and kept clean while we were their. The delivery of the newspape was an added bonus. More importantly situated around restaurants and the Eaton center which was only a five minute walk."

"I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There is an area where you can use a computer and a printer. The hotel is very close to the College Park shopping complex, the subway system, and several restaurants."

"excellent location near hospital"
"excellent location for medical appointment in Toronto. We feel they took advantage. Because of large conventions in city we could not get special rate for women's college hospital patients and they would not let us book more than 2 nights in a row. Towels REALLY need to be upgraded (very thin and cheap looking). Room was dusty. Staff friendly and helpful."

"Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Close to everything downtown.I had a relaxing stay. The over 62 rate made this one of the most affordable good quality hotels in Toronto. My second stay and I'll be back."

"The service and staff are excellent. They are genuine, attentive and met our needs immediately so I would comment that the staff are very observant and friendly as well!
We had a suite and although the bathroom was slightly small the overall layout of the suite was great. I have since recommended this hotel to a friend of mine. She and her sisters meet once a year in Toronto and will be staying at this hotel!"

"Our main complaint is that we booked & paid extra for the "prestige" package which indicated a sitting room with sofa bed... but the "prestige" bit was a joke.... what you are paying the extra money for is "a robe you can use" (whoopie... is in every hotel I use), 2 bottles of water, internet (again, same everywhere), and really there was absolutely nothing more prestigious than what you would find in any "Days Inn" or Holiday Inn. So, go basic with this hotel. Plus, when we asked for another "complimentary breakfast" (you only get 1 despite booking a double room), the clerk was very unhelpful."

"I wasn't impressed with this hotel at all. The heater didn't work, had to call maintenance up to the room to realize that the filter hadn't been cleaned in a while. As soon as he washed the filter off, the heat started working properly. The electrical outlet near the sink didn't work. It's a good thing I brought my own hair dryer, otherwise, I would have been stranded with a wet head because the hairdryer was plugged into the outlet that didn't work. I had to use the one across the room. The staff was friendly but the room itself had much to be desired. I will not make this my first choice the next time I come to Toronto."

"Negative: There was blood on the outside of the toilet. Although it was cleaned promtly, it should not have been there in the first place. The beds were AWFUL. Too soft and "bouncy". The pool area looked pretty nasty, also so we did not use it.
Positive: The staff was, indeed, friendly and helpful and the omlets were great!"
