Overview
The Cambridge Suites Toronto hotel is located on the south side of 15 Richmond Street East between Yonge Street and Victoria Street in Toronto, Ontario.

Facilities at the pet-free hotel include heated underground parking ($27 per night*), a rooftop fitness studio, a hot tub, a laundry room, and the Portico restaurant that is open for breakfast (free when booking a Cityscape Suite), lunch, and dinner. 

There are 229 guest rooms at the 22-storey hotel and they come with either one king bed or two double beds. Other amenities include free high speed Wi-Fi access (entire hotel), free local calls, hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, flatscreen televisions, coffee makers, mini-fridges and microwaves.

The hotel is situated close to many popular Toronto destinations including the CN Tower (1.9km) and Union Station (950m). The Queen Station subway station is 180m away from the hotel and there are a lot of shops and restaurants in the vicinity of the property (distances - Google Maps).

The Good
This hotel was a very highly rated property and as a result the property received more than its fair share of compliments. In particular numerous guests liked the location of the hotel, the staff, and/or the guest suites.

The location of the hotel was liked for several different reasons but several guests seemed to like the options for shopping that were near to the hotel. Tons of guests mentioned that Eaton Centre was nearby and many other guests were happy that there was a lot of entertainment options in the area. Many guests also indicated that they were close to public transit with the Queen's Station subway station being the closest to the hotel.

The staff at this hotel received an unusual amount of praise and it's very safe to say that the hotel takes their customer's needs very seriously. There were only the very occasional negative remarks about the employees and much more often they were described as - at least - "friendly and helpful." Several guests paid stronger compliments to the staff as several patrons expressed their gratitude for receiving service that was above and beyond normal hospitality service.

Numerous guests were very happy with their suites at this property and cleanliness was just the beginning. Several guests felt as though the rooms were "spacious" or large and many guests indicated that they liked the layout of their suites. The separate living rooms and separate bedrooms in particular really appealed to a lot of guests.

The hotel had numerous other features that were well-liked. To name a couple, several guests liked the continental breakfast and many guests enjoyed the rooftop facilities that included an exercise room and a hot tub.

The Bad
Guests that did not like this hotel were in a very small minority. However there were some guests who felt as though the hotel could improve in some areas.

Occasionally guests complained that the hotel was showing signs of aging. Multiple guests felt that the "decor" was "dated" or in need of "upgrading." One guest, for example, felt that the hotel "had been created in the late 80's and left in a time warp ever since."

Parking woes perturbed some guests who either didn't like paying for the service or found the parkade confining for a large vehicle.

The prices at the hotel received mixed reviews. There were definitely many guests who stated that they received good value but some guests did not feel that way. 

The comfort of the beds also received mixed reviews and occasionally a guest called the mattresses "hard."

All-in-all guest complaints were relatively few.
