"Great value for money and the rooms were nice and clean, air conditioning also really made the difference! Well worth looking up if anyone on a budget is looking for somewhere good to stay in Toronto."
Anonymous guest from Silver Spring, MD US stayed on May 24, 2006

"I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the kitchen. It is a little out of the way but easily accessible to the Queen Street trolley and it was quiet and well run."
Jaime from Decatur, GA US stayed on January 03, 2006

"Customer Service people at the hotel were not aware of the discount that we received when we booked online. The website told us the cost would be about $65 because it was a last-minute booking deal, but when we got there, we were told that they never give out rates that low. Everything turned out fine and we did in fact get the lower rate we thought we were getting, but it was somewhat unnerving to get there and think we were going to be charged a lot more than we thought. Perhaps more communication between the hotel and the canadianhotelguide website is needed."
Anonymous guest from Winona, ON CA stayed on December 31, 2005

"the hotel room was quite dry, everything in the room was 'shocking'. other wise the accomidations were good."
David from Montreal, PQ CA stayed on December 30, 2005

"should be a bit cheaper for what it is"
Anthony from Wasaga Beach, ON CA stayed on December 16, 2005

"We stayed at the hotel due to it's proximity to The Toronto West Hospital, so #7 would be recommended for the same reason. Some things I might mention about room 413 were: 1. The tv would suddenly go off for no reason. 2. The elevator was freezing cold, and there was a draft around the windows of the room. 3. I had to use the toilet plunger to get the bathwater to flow out."
Ren? from Summerstown, ON CA stayed on October 27, 2005

"You get what you pay for. This is a small hotel in need of repair. The amenities are pretty-well non-existent, but yesterday's newspaper is free. Its quite a way from the downtown core (Young at Queen), but ideally located for walking tours of the Portugese Village/Little Italy/Chinatown sections."
Anonymous guest from Roma, IT stayed on October 07, 2005

"The bathroom could have been cleaner. The room was good but there was a problem ... we had a non-smoker room but there was people smoking in the passageway outside it and in the morning we woke up with a terrible smell of smoke.. bleah!"
Gavin from Cardiff, GB stayed on August 19, 2005

"My wife and myself refused to stay in this hotel. The hotel was located in what at best could be described as a ghetto. There were police officers making arrests just outside the hotel over a gun related crime. The hotel was not within walking distance of amenties as advertised and overall the hotel was very run down."
Andrea from Bergantino, IT stayed on May 08, 2005

"needs some refurbishment. very old furniture (60s)."
Paul from Bonheiden, BE stayed on April 26, 2005

"-The sockets don't correspond to European standards, but I have found an adapter; -I have had some problems to use the telephone in my to hotel-room to telephone abroad,it would have been kind if they assisted me how to do it properly, the explanation I received from the front-desk was not sufficient enough for me"
Angela from Stirling, ON CA stayed on January 31, 2005

"Way too much money for that facility. It was clean and only a 15 minute walk to the skydome... but I wouldn't walk those streets at night! Kitchenette in the room, but no phone or radio. No coffee. Parking was only $3.50. Room very small but beds comfortable. Room smelled ok, but hallways smelled overpoweringly of cigarette smoke. I would not stay there again, unless maybe it was half the price... but probably not even then."
Anonymous guest from Moscow, RU stayed on July 06, 2004

"This was the cheapest hotel close to downtown, though in fact it is located a little bit far from major points of interest. In my understanding the price might have included some breakfast, however I was offered only a cup of coffee from the coffee machine. Quite place may be the main advantage."
Anonymous guest from Bloomington, IN UY stayed on June 28, 2004

"The hotel did not change the bed sheets everyday. When asked we were informed that they change every third day, but it seems they change once when new guests arrive. Had to ask them to change a dirty sheet, which they did."
Margaret from Oshawa, ON CA stayed on May 22, 2004

"One the internet it showed a completely different side to this establishment. I did not even stay. I left after looking at it. My friend from Ireland was equally agreeable that this was not what a safe place to stay will visiting Toronto."
Roland from Amherst, NY US stayed on January 11, 2004

"Just the bare essentials. Not easy to find due to one-way streets. No complaints with the facility."
