The Bad
Some reviewers indicated that the property was in need of repairs or upgrades. A couple of guests thought the hotel, in general, was beginning to show its age, while other reviewers specifically thought the lobby appeared dated. A few guests found the carpeting worn and in need of replacing.

A couple of guests found the wireless Internet unreliable. Some reviewers were disappointed by the fitness centre and described it as small and inadequately equipped. "The breakfast buffet though it was set up 30 minutes earlier did not open until after 7:00 when we were already heading for meetings. There were several other folks that I spoke to who felt that at least room service should be offered that early as those working in the mining industry (Sudbury's main industry) start very early. The fitness room was very clean and the lady barkeep very friendly."
