The Quality Inn Sarnia is my new favourite hotel for Sarnia, and I’m not alone it seems, as a lot of guests who have stayed at this hotel have given it excellent scores in recent online reviews. The staff and management of this hotel make the difference, as they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome, attend to every need and provide a cheerful and pleasant atmosphere.

This hotel provides a very good product for a very reasonable cost and this is another important factor in guest appreciation. Guests find the facilities well kept and in order, with spacious rooms that are well equipped with modern amenities including a mini-fridge in each room, air conditioning and flat screen TVs with free movie channels. Suites are also available with fireplace, double jacuzzi and separate bedroom for guests who need a little extra comfort.

It is also well located next to the city’s largest golf course and close to the highway and US border. The hotel is situated close to the waterfront, with Canatara Park and beach only a 10-minute walk away, and guests seeking dining, shopping or theatre will find it in the downtown area in just a 3-minute drive, or 20-minute walk.

The hotel offers a very well-liked free breakfast buffet with a selection of hot and cold foods that guests frequently describe as outstanding. Other restaurant meals on site have also been praised as surpassing expectations with excellent service. The free Wi-Fi is rated as excellent, and the hotel provides free parking and free local calls as well.

The Best Western Guildwood Inn is another great choice for travellers to Sarnia. It’s situated just off Highway 402, a few minutes by car to the US bridge and downtown Sarnia. 

This is a very popular hotel with many returning guests that have had many good stays. What do they like about it? Well, for one thing the hotel continues to be well maintained and offers a consistently good product, with quiet rooms, comfortable beds and attentive staff that take care to clean the rooms well, cater to special requests at the front desk and provide good dining on site.

It’s been recently updated and has large HD TVs, new beds and carpets, and all rooms come with a mini-fridge, which will add convenience and likely save on costs. There are rooms with a 2-person Jacuzzi for those special occasions, and also a room with a 1-person jetted tub in the bathroom, so don’t get these confused when booking! 

If you’re a pet lover and want to bring your best friend, this will be likely your best choice in Sarnia as you won’t get saddled with a smelly or dirty room, and the staff have been known to faun over the furry guests. There are rooms with drive-up access for guests who hate stair climbing, have a lot of luggage or want to dash out quickly! Also, if you are looking for an outdoor pool for some entertainment for your kids, this will also be a great choice as the hotel has a well-maintained, and large but shallow pool with an attractive deck outdoors to take in some sun.

Guests loved the cooked-to-order free breakfasts that are served at the hotel (weekdays only) and enjoyed the meals at the restaurant on site as well. Room service is available for those lazy, relax-in-your-room times. If you like biking and hiking in scenic spots, grab a free bottled water from your room and head off to the waterfront trail nearby!
