"the rooms were dirty, the ceilings especially look like they had received extensive water damage, i felt very sick the next morning, and im wondering if because of water damage something is growing in the ceilings. I stayed in room 117.
I will not be staying at the hotel ever again"

"The sign out front said "under new management" and I believe they are in the process of making some improvements. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice (basic, but adequate). The room was large, comfortable and fairly clean. The whole place looks like it was quite nice when it was new, but is now rather worn (though they are doing some fixing-up). Location was very convienent--everything is just down Yonge!--and felt safe."

"The shower did not work. The floors were filthy especially under beds. The plugs for sink and tub were dirty as was the elevator. There was a gap between the window and the ledge. The pipes under the vanity were all stuffed or wrapped with toilet paper."

"The problems that I complained about were not fixed. Looking out the window to a gabage dump was bad. I rather pay for a more expensive hotel. The rust in the bath tub should be fixed"

"If you need to stay at the cheapest hotel possible, then stay at this Knights Inn. Otherwise, the money saved travelling to and from this hotel into the city could more than defray the cost of a nicer, closer-to-downtown hotel."

"Really nice hotel staff, for an older facility it was clean and odor free, looks like they are really trying to please the customers,,though the location isnt really that convenient for the downtown its not all that bad if you are familiar with the city streets,in todays market a real bargain if you are staying for several days on a limited budget ,this would make an acceptable base to see the surrounding business parks and would serve the business community handily."

"The place is falling apart. Peeling paint, holes in wall, missing tiles in ceiling, rusted red metal parts in tub. Seedy clientelle."

"They were renovating the downstairs hallway to give the hotel a cosmetic change. I wasn't particularly troubled by it (I know they have to do that sometimes) as they were doing so at reasonable hours. The two staff people I met were very good.
The hotel is a little 'dank' and the amenities are sparse. The room itself was great for the price - large, comfortable, clean. I would suggest they take a look at the heating and cooling system regarding noise level of the fan."

"The desk clerk in the morning was unpleasant and difficult to deal with. The hall carpets were stained and dirty. The bathtub was stained (I wouldn't have wanted to have a bath in it) and there was obvious repair work needed in the bathroom. The pillows were lumpy and small and the bottom sheet kept rolling up from the corners whenever we moved. I suppose for the price it was ok, but I certainly would spend an extra few dollars to go somewhere else."
