The Comfort Inn Pickering is located on the south side of Kingston Road and west of Whites Road in Pickering, Ontario. Facilities at the pet friendly hotel ($10/stay*) include a business centre, a meeting/conference room, an exercise room, free self parking, and laundry facilities. The hotel does not have a restaurant however a free deluxe continental breakfast* is offered.

There are 146 guest rooms at the two-story hotel (no elevator*) and amenities include free wireless Internet*, free local calls*, free newspapers*, air conditioning, cable television, and irons/ironing boards. Many rooms at the hotel also offer fridges and microwaves.

Bedding comes with either two doubles beds or one queen bed and, contrary to some web sources, there are some smoking rooms at the hotel.*

Check in time is at 2pm while check out time is at 11am.

The hotel is located just to the north of the 401 and the Toronto Zoo (8.6km) is a nearby attraction. The Pickering GO Station is also relatively close to the hotel at a distance of about 5.0km (driving distances - Google Maps).

The Good
Guests that stayed at the Comfort Inn Pickering typically enjoyed their stay. Many guests approved of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, and amenities in their rooms.

Guests that described the staff almost always said that they were either "friendly" or "helpful." There were only very occasional and minor complaints about the employees who were also described as "nice."

The cleanliness of the hotel received a lot of compliments as well. Some guests were general and just said that the hotel was clean while several others indicated that their rooms were up to standard. Many guests also mentioned that their rooms had a "fresh" scent.

Several guests were impressed with the amenities in their rooms. Some of these guests indicated that their beds were comfortable and many patrons seemed appreciative of the fact that their rooms had fridges and microwaves.

The location of the hotel received a few nods of approval as well. Typically these guests liked that they were near the 401.

Lastly, some guests indicated that the room rates offered fair value although there was some balance on this opinion.
The Bad
Guests that had concerns about the hotel typically focused on a few areas that seemed to be the property's weak points.

Some guests were disappointed with the breakfast service and one guest, for example, said it wasn't a "full" meal. Some other guests were general and just seemed to be somewhat disappointed with it without indicating exactly what they disliked. Multiple guests criticized the area that breakfast was served in, saying that the room was small.

Occasionally guests that stayed on the second floor indicated that they were inconvenienced with having to lug their bags upstairs. The hotel had no elevator and some guests seemed to find the effort of carrying their baggage upstairs challenging.

A few guests complained that some areas of the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. One guest mentioned that the "hallways reeked of second hand smoke" and another guest said the hotel had a "Smokey smell throughout" (sic).

There were also some complaints about broken items or things not working perfectly at the hotel. A couple guests had trouble with the air conditioning while a few others complained about the bathroom plumbing and/or an ever running toilet.
