People nowadays, have cellular phones, video cameras, digital cameras and other electronics
One outlet by the night table powered a lamp and the clock radio (which we needed both), and the other 2 outlets by the tv, powered the microwave, fridge, tv, and lamp and coffee maker. (which we needed)
The only free outlet I saw was on the lamp itself, but it was for a notebook computer only (it was clearly marked).
