The Good
Reviews were mixed with some guests liking the hotel and others not so much. Guests who liked the hotel found clean and updated rooms, were pleased with its location and the waterpark.

Many came to enjoy the waterpark and were pleased with the 12-person hot tub, rinse-off showers, small kiddie pool, good-size wave pool (for a hotel) and waterslide. They found it well maintained with attentive and personable life guards.

Guests seemed to agree that the location was good. It was close to the airport, downtown and the civic hospital. Guests also found it close to the bus stop, groceries, a liquor store and pharmacy.

Staff were appreciated overall by guests who described them as friendly, efficient and helpful.
The Bad
Guest complaints were many and varied, but did share some common themes as well.

Room complaints were: below average with dirty rooms, mouldy ceiling, cracks in walls, dated decor, dirty and stained carpets, inefficient heating--too hot or too cold, noisy heaters, no hot water, furniture worn out, sheets have holes and rips, room smells like chlorine, did not get the room we booked, pillows old and flat, poor quality bed sheets, and rough towels.

Pool complaints were: pool too cold, chemicals in pool burned skin, water park hours too short, unrealistic for families with kids (always closed in the afternoon) and closed all day on public holidays, pool could use a cleaning, and no washrooms in the pool area for the children to relieve themselves.

Many guests found the free continental breakfast too basic and said there were only breads and cereals during their stay (no fruit, yogurt, pastries) and with hard-boiled eggs that were unappealing.

Many guests were disturbed by noise from hockey teams running in the halls, doors slamming, conversations and luggage wheels in the hall, plumbing sounds with water running, music that blared from the pool area, guests using the pool and waterslide, people talking on the balconies that faced the pool at night with sound echoing through the vacant pool area and partiers.
